  1. Hey Trisha! Those turned out great! You should be sooo proud of yourself!! beautiful and they're really get people excited for the wedding.
  2. check out farecompare.com... they tell you highs and lows for the past year.. of course nothing is set in stone but they can see how low an airfare has gone to know if they're getting a good deal.
  3. check out tripadvisor.com forum.. usually some really great local people chime in about where to stay. FYI We stayed at Imperial Palace, location can't be beat, right in the middle of everywhere but the room was horrible.. I'm talking pubic hair on a bar of soap left in the shower!! gross.. My girlfriend stays there all the time for a cheap room.. the casino tables are reasonable too.. O'Sheas has really cheap tables too. (no hotel, just casino)
  4. oh wow! I'm guessing you didn't want to deal with taking with your or having friends take?
  5. I'm assuming you saw Maggie's website area that shows brides in her gowns... http://www.maggiesottero.com/maggieB...eSize=8&page=1
  6. Here's a Pic of John Fagan if anyone is interested:
  7. Don't worry.. I planned my wedding alone and my FI (husband) was in the next room!! lol We're here for you! I just had my wedding at Dreams and loved it! Check out the wedding reviews sections. Lots of great info there.

  9. You may look into a'la cart options rather than a package if you're having alot of guests.. we didn't use Dreams options for anything other than location and food/drink. (ie we hired our own music, dj, flowers, etc)

I was thinking of sending them in a bubble envelope, but i'm wondering if just the general wear and tear of shipping them would break them. HELP! We sent ours with Sand Dollars in a box. I believe both are equally fragile. I guess you could try sending yourself something in a bubble wrapped mailer but we didn't want to risk damage. (not after paying so much for invites)
  11. I believe for 2008 it's $25 per person/per event.. so if you have your ceremony in one location and your reception in another, it's $50 pp... If you have a package, it would be for the number of people over 20. (not including you or your wedding party for the ceremony) You also do not pay for vendors unless they're eating at your reception. We had our cocktail hour and ceremony on the beach so it was only a $25 charge for that. The money goes towards the extra setup (they do a nice job with tablescapes) and the extra wait staff.. you feel pretty VIP not having to wait for anything. There are always several wait staff around to serve you and your guests.
  12. John Fagan was great! Here's part of my review.. one thing.. make sure someone tells him in person how to pronounce your names (including last name).. Minister - John Fagan (A) [email protected] John was hired by Mariana at Dreams and came with our package. He was so great. Matt and I are non-practicing and he never tried to force anything on us that we weren’t comfortable saying. He emailed me several vow samples and was willing to let me cut and paste and add to create our own document. He was extremely professional and kind. He double checked at the very end to make sure the ceremony was exactly as we wanted it to be. We chose very traditional vows and had a reading of “The Union†by Robert Fulghum and Matt’s sister also read the Sand Ceremony. At the end he gave us a symbolic certificate and our vows typed on beautiful paper for us to keep. He emailed me when we got back to make sure everything went well. Matt said later he was starting to get a little nervous. The guys were all lining up and no minister.. all of a sudden he sees this man in a billowing white robe stroll towards the ceremony site. He felt such a sigh of relief at that moment. I was a little nervous about having a minister with a strong accent or worse yet, we had a friend get married and I don’t know if she noticed or not but her officiant had a whistle when he talked.. I laughed every time he talked.. John was absolutely great and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get married in Cabo.
  13. Yeah Jen! It's my day #1 too!! No diet coke.. just water.
  14. I think it all depends on your parents. My parents would hate a massage and would probably freak out at the thought of having one. (They've never had one).. A great keepsake would be a photobook with pictures off your family at your wedding or on their vacation. With that said, we gave our MOH/BM (married couple) a couples massage on the beach at Dreams and they loved it.. complete with champagne and strawberries afterward. I thought the dinner on the beach option was overpriced for what it was.. we saw a couple just off from where we were eating and it didn't look super fabulous, but having not done it, couldn't say.
  15. It's tough.. I've worked with it for years and still couldn't tell you what to do to help.. we had two full day training sessions when I first started to learn the basics. Is there another program that can help?
  16. We found our cake top (and topper) in our mini-fridge at the resort after the wedding, but were going to another hotel for a few nights. We ended up taking a bite or two before we left. Many local bakers will offer an anniversary cake top for weddings because I don't think the cake/frosting is very edible after that long. I think it's a great excuse to celebrate our 1st Anniversary back in Cabo.
  17. We're blocked from U-Tube/Facebook type sites.. and yes, big brother is watching your every move (or can if he wants to)
  18. Oh wow! I missed your original post.. your invites are gorgeous!!! Letterpress is so special. What a great friend!
  19. I remember when I tried on dresses Maggie Sottero had some beautiful styles in different color fabrics... and they fit women so well. She offers light gold which seems very flattering. MaggieSottero.com - Home

  21. Great photos! You look so happy!! I can't wait to hear all about it!
  22. Jen, thanks for the inspiration.. I have one a day (at work in the morning) and have tried to quit in the past.. Hi I'm Angela and I'm a (diet) coke addict... I'm going to give it a try (starting tomorrow of course! lol)
  23. We used Jennifer Hatton.. she was really great to work with. She's originally from Canada and happens to be great friends with Deena from Sweet Dreams (also highly recommended by many.. I'm sure someone will post her info.) Jennifer Hatton "The Dessert Diva" http://cabodessertdiva.com/Contact_Info.html Email: [email protected] Telephone (From U.S.): 011-52-624-142-3939 ext. 507 Telephone (Local): 144-6247 Cabo phone Cell Phone (Local) 044 624 11-46-456 (Best way to contact me by phone) She used brown sugar to cover the bottom foil. Looks like sand and was very pretty.
  24. Welcome! You can always do a search in the upper right for a keyword like a last name or company name. We're always here to help and bounce ideas off of.. or just vent if you need to!
  25. Oh, I bet you can find dresses that fushia color of the flower or even a cornflower blue. I wouldn't do patterns on the BM dresses and GM shirts unless it's a really small wedding party.. you want the attention on you and your groom.
