Although the kids still get regular cows milk at school, so I guess changing to soy at home would at least be a step in the right direction. Hubby doesn't drink milk
  2. maybe I can get hailey to drink the chocolate soy milk, I think "sillk" is the one I've tried.
  3. I wonder if I try plain soy milk in my cereal if it might cover the taste a little.
  4. I drink cow's milk, but I've never really done the research to look into anything else. I really only like the flavored soy milk and even thats tough to swallow. But I don't really mind milk that much, I drink skim, usually just with cereal or in my coffee, I don't typically drink a glass of milk.
  5. Honestly, we have the point system for a reason, because if people want information from this site, they should be an active member. We've all been new members at one time or another and if we didn't have enough points we particpated more to get them and then we were able to open the attachments we needed. As Tammy has told us many times, opening attachments puts a huge strain on the forum, so to keep that strain down that is why it costs points. If everyone just came on the forum to download stuff and didn't have to use points then no one would participate in the forum and this place would be a useless resource, it shouldn't be all take, you have to give as well.
  6. this sounds so good! And only one point, how can you go wrong! I'm going to have to make some this week!

I freak out when I get down to two boxes (like they are going to run out of it everywhere)!! I LOVE smart start, although I don't have a whole cabinet packed with it, lol!
  8. My DH probably would have left me at the alter at the mere suggestion of him wearing makeup, lol!

Even if I have to pay a little extra money. Also, why o why did she not mention insurance anywhere? does that mean this lovely person really spent 25000 on a ring and did not think to get it insured? then there are her other complaints, these coupled with the ring, I feel like it is a scam. Just my opinion, I just felt when I was reading it that it seemed phoney. Feel free to tell me that you don't agree but that is what my gut is telling me! What if you got a new room and stepped into it's shower and the same thing happened. Too many crazy problems to say it was a "wonderful fantasy wedding" until your ring got stolen. Sounds like a nightmare to me. I totally agree with both of you, the story just does not add up!!
  10. Hi! I got married at dreams cancun, but honeymooned at EDR. As far as being nickeled and dimed, from what I've read on this forum, yes, EDR charges you for bringing in any outside vendors, there are a lot of resorts that do not charge you for this. We weren't charged anything additional from our resort for having an outside photographer. About EDR being a couples resort, well, we were there on our honeymoon, and I would definetly say it does have a couples atmosphere, most of the people we met were there on their honeymoon. I was glad that we didn't get married there because I think it may have been a little to quiet for our guests, there really wasn't much going on at night, it got quiet around there pretty early, but that was okay because we were on our honeymoon and we could just hang out at the bar for awhile and relax and go back to our room. If you're not happy with your choice and you can change maybe its worth looking into some other options, if nothing else you'll find that you chose the best place initially.

I don't care how much it costs... I'm getting married an half of my ceremony revolves arond this never ending piece of jewelry that I will always wear... and you don't even think I should take it? Interesting. Honestly, I don't have a $25K ring, but if I did I'm sure the rock would be pretty obnoxious and noticeable for everyone to see which I think makes you more vulnerable to someone taking it. If you are going to wear it, I would never take it off, make sure its tight on your finger so it doesn't slide off in the water or heat, and make sure you have insurance that is going to cover you even if you lose it out of the country. I don't even think I could wear a ring that cost that much on a daily basis because I'd be too freaked out about losing it.
  12. oh one more thing! I signed up on the hungry girl website to get the daily email tips, which I absolutely LOVE BTW, well she talks about the Vita Tops & Vita muffins, they make a bunch of different stuff, but they look really good, most of them are only 1 or 2 points on WW, and they have tons of fiber. They sell them at a lot of grocery stores or you can order online. I haven't tried them yet, but plan to soon, I really want to try the chocolate ones!
  13. Most mornings I eat Kashi cereal, right now I have the heart to heart one and I just finished a box of I don't remember the name, but it had blueberry granola chunks and flakes, it was really good. I really like the Kashi go lean crunch too, it has tons of protein and fiber, but my stomach doesn't handle it well, I get horrific stomach cramps when I eat it, so be careful if you try that one. I love the have fruit with yogurt. I buy the columbo fat free vanilla yogurt and I buy either fresh strawberries and blueberries or frozen ones. I actually really like the frozen ones, because they make the yogurt really cold and its almost like eating frozen yogurt, this breakfast always keeps me full for a long time. Today I had extra time because hailey had a 2 hour delay because of the weather, so I made one piece of toast, 1 egg, and added 1 slice of cheese for a little egg sandwich. It was 6 WW points. If you buy the light bread then you could have two pieces of bread, but I didn't have any in the house. I also love oatmeal, but haven't bought any in awhile. what about just a piece of fruit, if you're really not a breakfast person or a protein bar? I love the peanut butter balance bars, they taste like the middle of a peanut butter cup!
  14. I'm late to this, but WTF was she doing taking a $25k ring with her and then taking it off, that's just dumb! I feel like her story may be slightly overexaggerated, but maybe I'm wrong. Also, chlorine isn't good for your ring, I thought maybe she took it off when she went to the pool. we didn't have any problems with our safes and none of our guests did either, but you girls have made me rethink what we will do next time we go somewhere.
  15. Hey Martha! Do you have the book and the point slider thing? You can eat anything, you just have to count the points with your slider. Or in the back of the book it lists the point values. I try to eat a lot of low point items because it feels like you get to eat more, lol. For instance, most fruits are 1 point, veggies are no points, the yogurt I buy is 1 point. hmm what else, you can make popcorn, thats not too bad, I usually eat lean cuisine's for lunch and soup is usually not too many points. okay, now I'm rambling. as far as the meetings, they usually have a different topic each week and talk about how you should handle the situation. For instance around a holiday time, they would talk about ways to avoid going crazy with the food, give you tips for low point foods or things to do. Everyone gets a chance to talk to if they want about obstacles they may have had that week or successes, its really not bad, pretty friendly for the most part. I'm trying to do this w/o the meetings but we'll see how I do the next few weeks.
  16. Thats great Catherine!!! You must be so excited!!
  17. Christa I know exactly what you mean. My portions were definetly larger before, not to say that I never ate bad things, but having to actually count the points really helps keep you in check. I try not to drink too much when I'm dieting, partially because of the points it costs and also because when I drink, the next day I wake up STARVING and will end up falling off the wagon. However, when I know I'm going to want to have a few drinks, like on the weekends, I will usually eat pretty light during the day to save up points. A whole bottle of wine is around 12-14 points if I remember correctly, lol! Yep, I measured every cup, but I was starting to get a little loopy towards the end thats why I don't remember the exact amount of points. when I know I can only have one glass, I do the same thing, savor every sip.

I feel like I'm in there every 15 minutes, its ridiculous!! Oh and my daughter comes home today with a box of candybars that she has to sell, WTF?!!! I don't buy bad things because I know myself and if its in the house I'll eat it. So hailey just ate a pack of reese's pb cups, I ate half of one, thats one point in case anyone cares, so at least it satisfied my craving. I have to get them out of there tomorrow!!
  19. I've been doing it for about 2 weeks now, but I did have a few bad days mixed in there. But I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning to see where I'm at. I have the books from doing ww before, but I really think I should go to meetings to get myself to stick to it, but I'm going to give it a few more weeks. Now if I could just motivate myself to get on the treadmill....

Cheers! Totally agree with this! You can only answer the same question so many times! As for the shoutbox, I believe it is supposed to be a place just for random chit chat, I think the point of Tammy mentioning this is that we're trying to make the forum and all of the users here more efficient, and Tammy and the mods work really hard to monitor things on the forum and keep this a great place, so by using the search bar, its kind of like following the rules. If no one followed the rules the forum would be complete chaos. Can you imagine if every person in the shout box was asking where to find something, it kind of defeats the purpose.
  21. As Ann so nicely pointed out, the regular "search" is not working right now. I just tried the "advanced search" and it is working just fine, no problems, you might want to try it again.
  22. If you think about it, all the airlines look at is your passport, they don't ask you for another form of ID, so as others have said as long as your ticket is in the same name, you'll be fine.
  23. One thing you might want to check on, I had heard from another bride that a certain percentage of your guests have to stay at dreams to have your wedding there, you many want to check this right away. If you do a search on this forum there is a lot of information on dreams cancun and you'll find the choices for flowers, etc... I decided ahead of time what I wanted, but they finalize things with you when you get there. yes, claudia is the wedding coordinator.
  24. I can't remember what he sang, but the guy towards the beginning, the one that looked really serious that they were laughing hysterically at, I felt SO BAD for him. I really think he may have been part deaf because that's what he sounded like. I used to work with two deaf brothers and one of them just mouthed words with no sound, but the other sounded just like that guy. I felt really bad for him, he kind of sounded funny when he talked to. The guy in the cape, OMG, hilarious! And the green goblin girl, SCARY!! she'll definetly be victorious, lol! what about the star wars chick! She was SOOO weird, and she lives in the next town over from where I work, lol!
