I had a Kanyon and Fantasia. Hans has a few odd named family members. Belkis??
  2. I saw it and was disappointed. I honestly felt I was watching the Teen Choice Awards.. High School Musical, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus... I loved Rhianna's performance and Christina Aguilera's re-make of GIAB. The host okay a bit rude though. Hmm. I think it missed the vibe they had in the past years. Was it last year that the VMA's were in Vegas??

But I was going through the images again today preparing part II of the blog post (coming soon) and there are so many good ones! Just dropped by to say hi and GRACIAS for your hospitality, you guys, your family and friends were great to work with. Congrats and see you around! Rudy!!! How did I miss this! I am so glad you stopped by the forum. (Ladies, Rudy is an AMAZING photog!) I have had numerous request for yours (and Art's) information plus so much positive feedback especially of the pic in the rain! I would have loved more pics too, but hey, you worked with the rain and took amazing shots! I am picking up the CD from Nat on Monday and cannot wait to see more pics! Hope to see you around the forum! And THANK YOU for your amazing work!
  4. We ended up choosing Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion "All the Way". We heard it on you tube one week before the wedding and feel in love with the song!
  5. We used Enlace and thought they were amazing. We didn't have any english music though because we only wanted them to play spanish music. We mixed cd's with english music to play during the brakes.
  6. So exciting!!! Yay! Unfortunalty, I let my wc keep my table number holders. I bought picture holders at Pier 1 3 for $6.
  7. Why not! We had 9 Maids of Honor and 9 Bestmen, We didn't choose. My brother and DH's sis gave the speech. Its your wedding!
  8. We were quoted about $200 plus fabric. We did not end up renting it though.
  9. Very nice! Smart move having someone else make them for you and still get to design them your self!

So if we do not end up staying at the Mayan we'll have to borrow someone's room to get ready. I thought one of the girls on here got a free room?? We are currently working out a contract and it seems that a lot of the perks (fire works, dance floor, etc) that the girls were getting on here are no longer included. I would greatly appreciate hearing some feedback from the girls before signing our contract if these are things we should be working into our contract before finalizing. Thanks so much!!! I had a complimentary room. The WC at the time included this b/c of the size of the wedding. The dance floor wasn't a perk, it was included in the location fee (fee for table set-up, waiters, bartenders, beach, jetty and sunset bar areas). The fire works were not free either. The only think that was a perk was a symbolic cake (which was a sheet of cake) which we ended up fighting for b/c it wasn't included in the English contract yet we had emails from the previous WC confirming this.
  11. Those are so cute! What a great way to personalize a wedding. I wish I would have found you earlier in my planning!
  12. I agree, Callas are not cheap in PV. I wanted them for my bouquet but my WC said they were not available in PV and would be very expensive. There is a thread that I started in which Mishka responded re: flower availablity in PV. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...hlight=flowers
  13. We used Nataly and Art Lemus from Nataly Lemus Photography - Real. Modern. Artistic. Nataly Lemus Photo Blog Our e-pics were included in our package. I am not sure how much Nat charges for an e-session.
  14. Thanks G! I just change my name with the SS office on Friday and will go to the DMV next week! 2 months later.. I know feel "officially" a Mrs.!

My WC took care of all the centerpeices, I cannot imagine lugging all of that with me. To be honest though, it was easier than I thought taking all the boxes. Two of the boxes were pretty much filled with starfish so they were light. DH, MIL, godmother and myself each took a box and my mom took the carry-on (we were all fortunate to have booked before the extra fee for the second bag). What kind of flowers were you thinking of using?? My FG's each had a small pomander with green buttons and they were about $25 each. The pomanders in our centerpeices were carnations I believe. We paid about $65 for each centerpeice total. Are you using a florist from your hotel?? I remember Anny (anacgarcia) hired her own florist who did an amazing job in Cancun. edit: I found her florist http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8589-2
  22. Welcome! We honeymooned at the Grand Velas in NV, it was amazing

Are you planning to use real flowers? If so, I think they will be heavy. The florist will most likely soak the floral foam in water to help keep the flowers fresh. Floral Foam Sphere - 6"
