ROR questions

Recommended Posts

Ok, I've been doing my research for hours and these are the questions I cannot find the answer to....

Anyone have a pic of the free package flowers or know which one they are on the florist site?

reception on beach (no dinner, just drinks and dancing): costs $15 pp PLUS 500 set up fee?

Bonfire price 250? or 150?

Sand ceremony fee?

Does PA system have ipod hookup?

Minister and certificate fees in the $350 for free weddings? (I believe so, but would like confirmation)

How much for the 4 pole structure (instead of the gazebo)?

Thank you!!!

Hey Misti,

I can answer some of your questions...

* I have an email from the florist with pictures of the two boquet options. I can't attach so if you give me your email ill send them to you

* I have spoken to the wedding co-ordinator in the last few weeks and she said that a private beach/pool recepetion is $15 pp but did not mention anything about a set up fee

* The DJ system does have an ipod dock

* The minister fee is indeed $350

* I believe i have read on here that a sand ceromony was $65 but that could well have gone up now as it may have been an old post.

Be aware of the WC changing prices from person to person! I have had a few quotes which differ from the RIU website and have questioned her about it. She then back tracked and offered us a lower price! It is well worth doing your research because they will happily over charge you if you let them!

When I was married at ROR in 2008, there was no fee for a sand ceremony. Again, this was in 2008 so I'm not sure if this has changed.

The one piece of advice that I can give you is to make sure that you bring every email with you when you meet with your WC, especially those that have price quotes.

Its $350 for the minister/legal fees. So you pay nothing for the wedding package and then one payment of $350 for the minister to do the ceromony and all the paper work. As we booked through a travel agent our $350 was included in the cost of our holiday so double check you havent already paid it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
