-          CAKE STAND: For the cake stand, I purchased a sheet of 24x24†plexiglass and held it up with 9 round “candle holders†which we filled with clear crystals and put blue lights in them. This looked AWESOME at night (our reception was dark).  I also brought the candle holders from home (which I purchased as 14oz polycarbonate tumblers)…they are plastic so they travel easily. I purchased them from simplysmartliving.com for $4 ea, will sell for $3/ea + shipping (I have 9 of them).

 

-          CAKE JEWELRY: I was (still am) in love with my cake jewelry. I had the resort design a simple cake and then bling it up with these special touches. -          CAKE BOXES: I saw this idea and stole it from someone on here. This was definitely one of the smartest things we did. Most people don’t eat the cake at the wedding (who knows why) and this way people can take one back to their room with them (or home) and eat it either late night (munchies) or the next day. We purchased stickers that said had our name and wedding date on them and put it on them to sit out. The boxes are white 4x4x2 ½†with window a window. I have 77 of these left (no stickers on them). I will sell for $0.30 each or $20 for all of them + shipping.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
