We just had him at our wedding 2 weeks ago at the Dreams Tulum resort. He was fabulous. Kept the party going for the entire reception. I have never seen my mom dance.... EVER... and she got up on the dance floor.

Great communication, great price....I would highly recommend :)

Just got back from our wedding an Bijan was great. He kept the party going and all our family comment on what a great DJ he was. The only thing that you need to be specific about is what things you want announced and what things you don't. Other than that he ROCKED!

We had a live musician for the ceremony so we didn't need a DJ for that. If I didn't have a guitarist I totally would have booked Bijan. Drop him an email and ask him. He is really flexible and listens well. During our reception he was able to put in a Metallica song for my husband and still keep the party going.

Hey we had DJ Bijan for our wedding at Dreams Tulum on May 10.

We hired him for our ceremony and reception and he did an amazing job!! He played the music for the ceremony perfectly, and provided us with a wireless microphone so our guests could hear us say our vows. He did a great job introducing us as we entered the reception and we used the microphone again for the speeches.

He had our whole group dancing all night - even my 80 year old grandparents! He played a really great mix of music and had fun little party lights!

He was also really quick at responding to e-mails, and his pricing is great in comparison to other DJs in the area!!

I'd book him again in a heartbeat!!

I used Dj Bijan for my wedding May 6th at Dreams Tulum for both the ceremony and reception.

The Good

He did a wonderful job with our ceremony and providing a mic for us to use.  Although my husband and I couldn't hear much of anything during the ceremony our guests had no problems hearing everything. He's very responsive to emails and his pricing is great...too good to pass up I just couldn't justify 1k on a DJ like some of the others charge.  He was very flexible during our reception because we kind of improvised on our timeline since things were running behind and dinner was taking forever and I had paid extra for more videography to cover the specials dances and stuff.  Bijan was great at throwing things in there for us.

The Bad

I gave him a list of the important songs and left the rest of it up to him because he said he would like some freedom and from past reviews I assumed it wouldn't be a problem.  I gave him a few must have songs and an idea of what type of music to play during dinner, he said he had a good idea of what we would like....that was clearly not true. He also did not introduce us correctly which I had told him exactly how to do so.  I wasn't thrilled with that since he introduced us in what I view as offensive and not mentioning my name at all. I was not impressed and a little more than disappointed in some song selections.  He started playing one song no one knew or had ever heard of and it was awful, I immediately went over and had him cut it and requested he play something newer that we could dance to.  He didn't cover all of my must have songs, and he played a few songs that should definitely have been on a do not play list.  I had told him to not play certain cheesy songs but I didn't know I also needed to say don't play weird things like "I'm too sexy" at a wedding.  The only thing that saved that was my BM's husband was really drunk and made a show out of it. There were just a few songs that made me go "seriously wtf? are you doing playing this".

Overall

We had a great time and everyone danced all night, so I can't complain too much, but if I had to do it over again I would have given him a lot more guidance as I had an idea of what I wanted but was trusting his abilities.  So with that being said I wouldn't not recommend Bijan I would just make sure you are pretty specific with your song choices.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
