Hi. Looking for reccommendations for music - reggae, steel drum, salsa  - for a wedding reception at the Azul Beach Hotel. Also, is anyone familiar with the donkey party or beach bonfire options offerred for a rehearsal dinner?

Hi,

 

If I was you I would look at the Del Sol Wiki on this board. Its located Here --> http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

 

They have shot about 6 full weddings at Azul. The photographs of the receptions should give you alot of idea on entertainment for you event. I used there wedding photographers to plan a lot of elements for my own wedding. I found a great makeup vendor, Mexico Trio Band and some good ideas for decor.

 

Del Sol are the photographers I have booked for my wedding and are widely known on these boards. They have shot a lot of fire dancers and other really unique Mayan entertainment.

Hi Samland,

 

I was married at AB in April.  Unfortunately, we did not hire live music (too expensive), nor did we go with the Donkey or the bonfire.  PM a bride called amybermuda.  She was married there in May and had the Donkey.  I'll be happy to help if you have more questions.  You picked a FAB resort!!

 

Oh, and FYI, pay no attention to the previous post about Del Sol, and certainly don't fall in love with their style!!--they're not allowed on Karisma properties.

Am I sure about Del Sol?  Yes.  Of course photographers are allowed at the resort.  Even outside ones.  Just not Del Sol.  We brought ours from the US.

Hi!

 

I just booked Azul Beach for a wedding in May.  When are you getting married?  Where are you having your reception?  I was there in August for a site visit. If you want me to send you some photos of the resort let me know.  Have you been there before?

 

Congrats! It's an AMAZING resort!

Hi Melissa,

 

Congratulations on making your decision on the resort. What a relief! Our wedding in January 22nd, 2011 and we are getting very excited. I too was visiting resorts in August and looked at the Beach, the Sensatori, Ceiba Del Mar and Marina El Cid. It was a tough decision, but what I loved most about Azul Beach was the initimate setting.

 

We are planning to have a beach BBQ for our reception with a reggae band and speakers for our Ipod when they are finished playing music.

 

What details have you planned so far?

Are you working with Lomas Travel to coordinate your wedding details?

 

Let's keep in touch during this process. It's so nice to speak to someone else with the same taste!

Your wedding is right around the corner! So exciting!!! We looked at over 10 resorts and I fell in love with Azul Beach. We are going to have our reception at the Blue Terrace and haven't figured out too many details yet...We just got our STD's in the mail today...kind of a late start.  How many people are you having at your wedding?  Are most people staying at Azul or are some of your guests staying at other resorts.  We reserved 25 rooms and hope that most of our guests stay at Azul Beach. Are you working with Lomas Travel?  Are you having a rehearsal dinner? If yes, where? Do you have a wedding website?  If yes, would you mind sending it to me? We are working on ours now and it would be great to see another website for someone that is having their wedding at the same resort.  Looking forward to talking with you more!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
