November 2010 Brides - Riviera Maya

Recommended Posts

Hi Girls!!!

I know there's a Nov-2010 thread out in the general forum but I figured it might be helpful to have our own for the Riviera Maya area that way we could share tips/info/planning advice relating to our area.

I'm getting married 11/13/2010 at the Hacienda Tres Rios!!

Dress bought and bridesmaids dresses too!!!

We are still struggling on what to do about a chapel sad.gif We have LaSalle reserved but it's a bit of a distance. We would have loved Xcaret but it's booked so is the one in the middle of Playa del Carmen.

Can't wait to hear about your details and how far along you are.

I am getting married at Iberostar Maya on November 12, 2010! We have 40 people booked already but I have not sent invitations yet. I plan on sending invites out in June. I got my dress, still deciding on bridesmaids dresses, booked DJ, still deciding on photographer!

Hi ladies!

Just wanted to introduce myself... 6 months to go roughly for us, WOW time flies!

We are getting married at the Barcelo Maya Tropical on Nov 18. So far so good for planning! Gotta say, still haven't picked my bridemaids, hoping that the ladies will commit to coming. Unfortunately the recession has tightened some financial belts.

How are you ladies doing?

Lisa Nicole - we are looking into having our Catholic ceremony at the chapel at the iberostar. Have you visisted the resort yet? We are going at the end of this month to see the chapel. I will take pics of what I see while I am there in case you're interested.

Angelina - I hear you on the finances! One of my best friends has been unemployed for almost a year now. I asked her to be one of my bridesmaids because she literally is like a sister but I also made sure to tell her I understood if she could not make it because of financial reasons. She is somehow still planning on going and pulling every move she can to be there.

-just booked the photog yesterday

-purchased my dress in March

-picked the bridesmaids dresses (just waiting for everyone to get measured so I can order them)

-would have booked a DJ, but the resort doesnt allow outside vendors sad.gif

Hi Girls!! Attempting to revive this thread for us Riviera Maya girls!!!

We have shifted our wedding date to 11/12/2010 so that we can have our ceremony at the Xcaret St. Francis of Assisi Chapel!

We have updated our website and hoping more people will book soon. How do you guys get people to book? I'm worried airfare will keep going up:/

What time are you guys having your ceremonies/reception.

I heard from Xcaret that the sunset is at 5 in November....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
