Has anyone tried "Latisse" to grow your lashes?

Recommended Posts

Hi Brides,

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with Latisse, the product that is currently being pitched by Brooke Shields. Would you mind posting pics as well as feedback? It's pretty expensive, so I'm sure that there are some brides who'd like to know if it's worth the investment.

I heard that too. I guess it would be similar to Rogaine. It apparently will grow new hair (on your head!), but the minute you stop using it your new growth will fall out.

I'm also curious to see if anyone's tried Latisse (or Sephora's mascara - yikes, I've hi-jacked your thread smile41.gif !!).

I was going to try it, as I hate how short my eyelashes are...but I love the green color of my eyes and would be sad if they darkened (a side effect of Latisse). Also, if you discontinue use of Latisse, your lashes do not stay long...I figured I wouldn't be using it for the rest of my life so whats the point. lol. Would love to know other brides results if they used it!

I haven't tried Latisse or Sephora's brand, but I have tried Renew Lash (Amazon.com: RenewLash Eyelash Stimulator: Beauty). It is amazing. During the first week your eyes get a little red and itchy, but then you get used to it. Your eyelashes get thicker, darker and longer. I got mine from a friend who is a cosmetologist, but Amazon also carries it. Personally, I think it was a good investment because it lasts for a long time and then you don't have to worry about fake lashes coming off on your wedding day...not to mention they look good everyday.

I agree, it seems kinda like a waste. I might get an eyelash perm, because mine point STRAIGHT down (like snuffelofagous ?sp?) And then I'm going with fake! I would rather spend $150 on a room upgrade or a snorkel trip or something more fun than lashes that are a few mm longer :)

I've heard generally good things about Latisse.

That being said, I got "flirty fakes" applied for my legal day at home, from MAC for $13, and I LOVED them!!! My MIL bought the glue and reapplied the same lashes for me on the wedding day and the result was more stunning (and cheaper/easier!) than Latisse would have been, I have no doubt wink.gif

Sephora: Talika Eyelash Lipocils: Mascara

I've tried Talika Lipocils about 2 years ago, it works. For me it wasn't noticable on the top as they were on the bottom. I went from having next to no noticeable lower lashes (they were thin and short) to having quite a few longer lower lashes. they didn't fall out they're still there.

since it was a bit pricey and at the time i wasn't sure if the lashes woudl stay, i didn't purchase a new tube, haven't thought about re-purchaing again but definately thinking about it now.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
