Hi everyone I wanted to get a thread going for my favorite designer...

I chose Paloma Blanca because of how I felt in her dresses and because of the fabric! The Dupioni Silk is so light weight compared to so many Satin dresses I tried on. I really could where my dress everyday and the touch of lace to the bodice was just the touch I wanted for a vintage feel to go with my personality :) I can't believe I was one of those girls that chose the first dress she tried on after many Bridal experiences with friends. (Though on the hanger I wasn't impressed... it was perfect on. I chose Paloma Blanca #3802 in the Natural color, but had it down to a Paloma and Mikaella for my final choice. Here are a few pics from the dress shop and my actual dress I purchased. I cant wait to see what other Paloma/Mikaella Styles are out there!!!

Hello Ashlynn039,
Mikaella is Paloma Blanca's Sister company. The dress shop that I tried on my Paloma did not advertise that they carried Mikaella Bridal, but had Mikaella dresses to try on, so I would hope that if a salon carries Paloma they have a few Mikaella dresses or could at least order one for you. Just give a call to any salons in your area that carry Paloma Blanca, hopefully they could help you :).
The Paloma dresses that I tried on were a bit more cost wise ($300-500) than the Mikaella's but not do to quality of design or of the gown, but the type of fabric that was used. The fabric that is used in most of the Paloma Gowns is the raw Duiponi Silk which is so light weight you feel like you are wearing a cloud :)!! Good Luck and I hope you can find your Mikaella Gown!!!

Hey Roxy!! I have a Paloma dress too, I bought one too - mine is so simple, but I think it really fits and flatters me well. I don't have any good pictures on my computer, mine is in the dress shop now, I'm waiting to get it altered - can't wait to see it when it fits me perfectly. The Mikaella line makes almost the identical dress to the Paloma one I purchased (Style 3906). I will try to post a link to the post I put of me in my dress on the "Show us your wedding dress" thread....

 

Oh - question, what are you doing for jewelery? I can't decide what to wear...I have a very sparkly necklace but I am unsure if it's me...I picked it because I wanted some more "wow" factor (my dress has no beading, and a deep sweetheart)...i can't decide!!

Too Funny!! I am having the same issue :), I have worn the same necklace for 4 years, a simple sterling silver chain with Heart Pendant... so I am not a flashy jewelery person, more of a shoe person :). I love to lace bodice part of my dress and have considered not wearing a necklace, but wearing a pearl bracelet... I just cant decide! My shoes are a bit flashy so I am leaning more towards the bracelet and no necklace, but if I find something I love and is me, I wont rule it out...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
