OOT Bags - Our Items were a HUGE Hit!!

Recommended Posts

I want to say THANK YOU to every one on this forum that inspired me and gave me input on the different parts of our bags. Without this forum, I don't think they would of been the huge success they were.

The following photo is our OOT bags with contents. For more detailed information about the contents, check out the link in my siggy.

We saw our bags and cups all around the resort while everyone was there. They were used all day long and even taken to restaurants and bars at night. Even the bartenders and waitresses knew these two items (Our group was very good tippers). We were constantly getting compliments from people and the staff at the resort

We also delivered our bags a little differently than others. 90+% of our guests live in the same town as us so we hand delivered our bags the few days before we left so we wouldn't have to deal with customs.

I don't think there was a thing that wasn't used in our bags. We continuously saw the sunscreen, waterproof wallets, cups, and koozies being used around the pool. We were thanked a number of times for the contents of both our Recovery Kits and Oh SH*T Kits ( I converted a bunch of people to shout wipes for sure). We were also thanked for the Cards and Puzzle Books. Most people said they used them in the airports and airplanes traveling to and from Cancun.

We heard comments about every item in the bags with the exception of the Hand Sanitizer. I know we used ours (we brought the extra bottles for us to use the 11 days there).

If you are a past bride, what was your successes in your bag?

I got the sewing kits in bulk on Ebay. They were hotel sewing kits, so I took the container off which left the little plastic bag of sewing items. I added a couple larger safety pins that me and my mom had around the house and stuck a sticker on it.

I still have 30 of the hotel kits left that I was going to post on the for sale thread. If you interested, PM me and we can work something out on them. I paid $0.36 each for them.

I bought the individual drink mixes at Sam's and Target.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
