Hi!! Does anyone have any information about weddings at this resort? My fiance loves it and I've been searching for contacts, pictures, anything and haven't been successful! If anyone has had a wedding there or knows anything, any info would be appreciated!! Thank you!!

Have you tried trip advisor, I see a review of someone who got married there. Maybe if you PM her: Cayo Levantado - Traveler Reviews - Wedding in Paradise - TripAdvisor

Some resort reviews on Debbie's Dominican Forum: Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado resort reviews - Samana Peninsula - Debbie's Dominican Republic Pages - Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado Information

Also, for us, our TA got all the wedding info from the resort for us, maybe you could ask him/her as well. I'd also see if you can find a corporate number on the Gran Bahia website to see if you can track wedding info that way.

Hope this helps.

Cayo Levantado looks amazing!!! We were on that beach last February (on an excursion from GBP Cayacoa) but we didn't get to see the resort. I know when we asked about weddings at Cayacoa they weren't really accomodating & they didn't seem to have a lot of info. I know that those resorts are fairly new & have not had many weddings. But the Samana area is absolutely incredible!! I would definitely go back again!!

One thing to keep in mind with Leventado is that you are almost stranded on the island. If you want to go to the city you have to rely on the boat shuttle and the timing of it. But if that is not a concern of yours then I would go for it!! It is definitely a beautiful area!!

Oh...here is my review of Cayacoa on Trip Advisor...http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserR..._Republic.html

Hello all future bride! I am also thinking getting married at Grand Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado. My fiance and I are planning to get married over there between mid-march mid-April 2013!! We just have to look so it will not be Easter and not be march break, so I think it will probably be the week of April 7 2013. Its a long time to go but everyone know that time goes so fast and 2 years to plan a destination wedding should be just perfect to save the money, advice everyone long time in advance and plan everything like we want. So I already visit a Travel agency, but they told me that I have to go back to see them about 12-14 months before the event as they cant not guarantee anything 2 years in advance. Well, I contact the wedding planner from the resort and she send me lot of picture of location for the ceremony, the reception, the flowers and the cakes. Here is what I got:

I wish this will be helpful for your destination wedding planning!

My fiance and I were looking into this place when we first started looking at resorts. Two close friends went on a honeymoon there last year and had a great time. The pictures they posted on facebook were amazing. However, this resort is much more secluded than others in Punta Cana and smaller, they found it too quiet and were a bit bored after the 4th day as there were not many activities at the resort. Food was good and their suite was gorgeous and clean.

Because we are looking into having 60+ people, we wanted to have a large variety of things for people to do. But if it was a smaller wedding party with people who like to relax and soak up the sun, this is a gorgeous spot to go.

Yes, this is what we are worry about...That its is Paradise but that their is not mush of activities for young people....I start looking around because of this fact and the fact that they is no nightlife too...Now we are also interrested in the Iberostar Rose Hall suites in Montego Bay,Jamaica. they look to have very nice activities and the review are good too. But nothing sure yet still looking around cause we will be inviting lots of people too.

We are looking at getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado, those pictures were really helpful.  I've tried a number of times to get a hold of someone from the resort about weddings with no success.  I was told to contact Angela at coordinadorgruposbpcle@bahiaprincipe.com but I have yet to receive a reply (I the first message I sent her was mid January).  We are looking to get married January of 2012 so I really want to get things organized sooner rather than later.  Who did you contact you and provided you with all that information? Did you already book your wedding day at the resort? Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
