I notice there isn't a whole lot written about St Lucia, so I'm just wondering if anyone else is planning to get married there.

Chris and I have decided to rent out Villa Capri and have our closest friends and immediate family stay there. We'll have our wedding on the beach at Pigeon Island and the reception at the villa, most lilkely catered by The Edge Restaurant.

Does anyone have any experience with these places? I'm so excited to be planning my wedding!!

You would think there would be more St. Lucia brides ... but I can't say as I recall any being members on here, at least since I have been.

How is your planning going? Sounds like great stuff already in the works for your lodging/ceremony/reception pics!

Post some pics if you have any of the places you've chosen!

Hi...you replied to my post on St. Lucia already but me being a likely St. Lucia bride thought I should post on yours. Sounds like you have a lot already planned out...I'm having a hard time deciding on anything for sure. Have you been there before? I haven't but it looks beautiful and seems like there is a lot to do there. I'd love to hear anything you have figured out...maybe we can help each other out. Greg and I are likely picking the Windjammer Landing but have not booked yet. Good luck with your planning!

Still deciding huh? I've heard some wonderful things about Windjammer. If I was going with a resort, that's probably where I would go. I believe Paula Dean from the Food Network did a special from St Lucia and she stayed at Windjammer. Maybe you could check that out.

FI and I went to St Lucia last October and just fell in love with it. We stayed at Coconut Bay which is on the Atlantic side (not the beautiful Caribbean beaches you get on the Caribbean side) but we knew this going into it and got a good deal. We got to explore the island a little bit so we saw different areas.

The island is absolutely gorgeous. It's so lush, so between that and the beaches, you really have the best of both worlds. And the locals are very friendly. Chris and I are so excited to take our friends and family (about 40 people) there because none of them have ever been there and they are just going to love it. Unfortunately the flights are a bit expense, but St Lucia is worth it!

Let me know if you have any more questions. I would be happy to answer for you as I have done TONS of research on the island. I'm obsessed! Also, Tripadvisor is a great forum to check out.

I'm excited there's another (possible) St Lucia bride!

We are also looking into St. Lucia for our wedding. We are having a hard time choosing a resort. We have children travelling with us and wanted a more upscale all-inclusive with a nice beach. Do you have any suggestions?

Cotton Bay Village may meet the mark once it gets all of it's growing pains out, they are luxury villas ranging from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms(some with private plunge pools and butlers- and the price tag to boot!) but for the time being I would say that Windjammer is your best bet on St. Lucia for a good family AI!

If you need any help with any of the accomodations in St. Lucia feel free to PM me! It is one of my favorite islands- just stunning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
