Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

My fiancé and I are getting married at the Grand Palladium Resort and Spa in Punta Cana D.R in 2009. We actually went on vacation there last year and loved it! I have found some pictures and reviews of weddings that have taken place there but I would love to find someone on the forum who has gotten married there, just so I can ask some specific questions.

Any tips or info let me know!

Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,

My fiance and I are also considering Grand Palladium Punta Cana for our wedding in 2009. We stayed there from Nov 28 to Dec 6 2007 and loved it, but I did not see any weddings and at the time didn't think that I would be getting engaged and planning a wedding anytime soon !!!! Darn, I could have enquired more when I was there. So here's a holler out to anyone, everyone, please reply if you have been married at this resort, help us out wih any info.

Cynthia, do you have an address for the wedding coordinator in order to get ANY information on prices, locations for weddings, reserving a date etc? Could you please send me the pics/reviews you already have?

Thanks, Julie

Hey Julie,

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I hope you are able to get this!

Okay, so Nathan and I just came back from our travel agent. In terms of prices, this will all depend on what city your are flying from, how many people, group rate, etc... The hotel doesn't offer any additional discounts according to the wedding coordinator who's name and email I will give you too :)

I have read a review that a girl on this forum forwarded to another girl looking to get married at the Grand Palladium Resort in Punta Cana. Here is the specific link for that:

Here is a link to their public pictures too! :

So Nathan and I have decided we are going Jan 28-Feb 11, 2009 (2 weeks)

so I just e-mailed the wedding coordinator to confirm. She is very nice and will send a package of info that you will need to know about documents to fax, costs, etc...

Her name is Isyuney and her e-mail is acliente.palace@fiestahotelgroup.com

I hope this helps and let me know how you make out and if you have any new info to share. Maybe we will both end up getting married in the same week!!

Cynthia :)

I am also getting married at this resort but will be staying in the Palace section. We are leaving on Nov 27, 2008 and are getting married on Nov 30. The WC is the same for the Punta Cana and Palace sections. Even though I haven't gotten married there yet, I have been in touch with the WC's there since Sept and have got almost everything organized. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me and I may be able to help you out. The WC for the Bavaro section is very quick and easy to work with, but our WC is not always very quick. I have got a few sample pics from them of bouquet upgrades they have done before as well as a pic of a beach ceremony. If you would like to see them, just PM me.

Are you saying the WC for the Bavaro section is different than the WC for the Punta Cana or Palace Section? I've have sent a few emails back and forth to Isyuney and have managed to confirm a date...April 16, 2009, but all my other questions as to pictures, locations, flowers, meals, extra's, etc, have basically gone unanswered. If you have ANY other info I would LOVE to receive it. We stayed in the Punta Cana Section last year, and would be very happy to return there. A TA with whom I have had some contact with has given me prices for pckgs to Palladium Bavaro, but nothing on Punta cana Section yet. So any TA's out there who might be able to get this info for me I'd appreciate it. Flying from Toronto, Fri, Sat or Sun departures, April 10, 11 or 12 2009, 1 and 2 week stays. Thanks for any and all info.

The WC is different for the Bavaro section. The one you have talked to is the WC for the Punta Cana & Palace sections. We did mos of our organizing of what we want while talking to Carolina from the Bavaro, but then we ended up booking in the Palace section, and the only thing I have heard back is conformation on our wedding date. No other questions were answered yet, and I am thinking of contacting Carolina again just to get a few questions answered. Everything is officially decided on the day after you arrive there, you meet with the WC and go through everything with her. I just like to have an idea of what I want beforehand.

I do know that everything usually says that the wedding is in the gazebo, but you can have the ceremony on the beach, and Carolina sent me a pic of on beach wedding, as well as some bouquets that they have done.

Would you mind sending me a copy of the pics she sent you? I can't imagine having nothing to go on until we arrive. I too just have a "yes" your date is saved, but nothing else. I want to start making STD's and invites, but I'd like more info on the packages at Gr. Palladium Punta Cana

Hi all Grand Palladium Brides!

I'm also booked at the Grand Palladium Bavaro for Jan 24 to Feb 7, 2009. My TA is a DW specialist and she is the one doing all the work to organize the actual wedding for me which is amazing! What a relief! She is in direct contact with Carolina and raves about how great and quick she is about getting back to her. I'll post info as it gets passed down to me from my TA. At this point, I'm waiting to hear back with the confirmed wedding date. We are hoping for Jan 28, so keep your fingers crossed for us! Any pics or info you guys have would be great! wink.gif

I really enjoyed talking to Carolina before we offically booked, as she was super quick. The one time my Mom emailed her and she wrote back about 3 hours later and apologized for taking so long to respond. Isyuney on the other hand does not respond very quickly at all. She is the WC for the Punta Cana & Palace, and I just wrote her again today to find out if I am ever going to get answers to my questions. I am going to get on this womans case until she responds right away to get me off her back it I have too. I read a review from a wedding in 2006 I think at the Punta Cana section and they said that there was a new WC that was not very quick. I am thinking this may be the same woman and she hasn't gotten any quicker. My day will still come and there will not ba a WC that will ruin it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
