I hope that is the case. The email communication with the WC has been hard...her english isn't too good and then she doesn't address every question.

But I sent her an email today asking exactly what the beach arbor included with the Ultimate package is. Does anyone know if we can take our own decorations (like rose petals) for the runner? I am wondering if that is a no no since they are fake?

Thanks for the help.

Jen, I don't know if you have read farther back in this thread, but I have mentioned a few times that Rebeca said we could bring whatever decorations we want from home and she will put them out at no charge to us. She told me she just wants them before the wedding day so she doesn't have bug the bride during that day. She seems very flexible to me. I'm bringing some decorations for her to put up, and I'm assuming rose petals for the aisle runner are fine. I thought the rose petals for the aisle were $30? Maybe that's for one bundle and we need more to cover the area. I figure I'll pay the $30 for whatever that gets me...

Hope that helps!

The Spa told me to book two weeks in advance, but that just doesn't fly with my obsessive compulsive planning (OCP) - so I'm probably going to book at around the two month mark.

I'm trying to gather from all my guests who wants to get pedis and manis with me the day of etc and book everyone appmnts for that Friday.

I figure I'm going to get my pedi the day before the wedding (many girls are getting theirs before they leave, but I think the sand on the beach won't help maintain the pedi) and then I'm thinking of getting my mani the day of because my nails chip easily.

It's getting so exciting planning all these kind of details rather than invites, menu, songs, etc etc

Jess, what time did you book your hair? makeup?
I believe we are both getting married around 4ish, right?

I think our photog is arriving at 3pm, so I figure I want to be done with everything by 2pm, so I thought hair and makeup starting at 11:30 or noon......?

I am totally OCD too, so I will probably be booking a couple months in advance like you guys. I just didn't want to be behind and need to book silly early like 6 mos. I think I am getting my nails done before I go. My fiance is a massage therapist and one of the girls at his spa gave me an awesome pedicure and said she would totally do it for my wedding (she did it two weeks ago and it still looks great). I also want tips but not the regular tips that destroy my nails and she said she does something called fiberglass nail treatment which looks more natural than tips and doesn't destroy your nails. And hey if the toes chip, I am sure I can always sneak in another pedi while I am down there blush2.gif.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
