Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Melissa, your fine!!! Are you going to have any BM's? If so, what are they wearing. The dress is really up to you!! Personally, I wanted to feel like a bride so I went for a simple couture dress. The dress is light and should be easy to travel with!!!!

Well, apparently I was told there might be 2 more people, but they don't know if they are booked for the flights and resorts (FI's mom was telling about her sister and brother.. FI's aunt and uncle). Ugh. So I scrambled to ask the companies I order from if it was too late to add extras. I managed to get them all but one.

What a pain.

If more others just show up at the wedding I will be happy, but annoyed at the same time. I will have 2 extras of everything, but that's it for just in case purpose.

FI also mentioned last night for the first he's a little disappointed in the number of people coming, but it's not to the point that it's getting to him. We both knew that not many people would go. Actually it was bothering me a little too.

He asked how many invites were sent, I reminded him about 50 and said most were family and relatives. Then he asked how many orginially said yes, so I said originally, we would have had around 20 people that said they would come. Of course he was trying to remember who they were, so I had to remember the names myself and why they decided not to come.

Then I said we might have had a extra few more if we didn't go with the resort we picked, but the sister hotels on the resort were cheaper that other knew that could have stayed at one of those regardless (I listed the Lindo and Maya as optional hotels to stay at)... it would have been around 2000 per couple instead 3000.

Then I said, I think a lot of them are not thinking of it as a vacation just more they have to pay to go to a wedding. And that honestly, it wouldn't have mattered if it was 3000 or 1000, most of them still wouldn't have went to pay to go to a wedding. I also kind of reminded him that we didn't go a wedding in BC because we didn't want to pay the money to go at the time. He said true you got a point there.

Finally, I say, it doesn't matter who doesn't come. Your parents, my parents, and sister will be there. They are the most important people we could have to be there.

I asked him if he wanted an AHR to have the family and friends to get together that couldn't come, but he said no.

I also said I know that both of us agreed on marrying down south for the longest time, but do you wish now that we were getting married back east? He said no, don't what that.

I was still surprised that he brought it up though.

Sgt Pepperette, have you checked out Light in the Box? (Wholesale - China Wholesale - Buy Wholesale Products from Chinese Wholesaler) A few girls have ordered their (WAY inexpensive) dresses from there, and you can choose to have them custom fit to your size, to avoid alterations. I wish I'd known about this site before I got my own dress, as I found one quite similar on there that I loved and was less than half the price. Search it on here, you may be able to get more feedback from teh girls who ordered off of there!

Hey ladies... Today is a very sad day for my FI and I. We had a horrible experience last night. Our dog Cuji was stolen from the back yard and my FI's studio which in in our yard was burglarized.

We think the incident with the studio occurred during the day while we were at work. But Cuji was stolen last night while I was home and my FI was out fishing. We are doing everything humanly possible to find her but she was a beautiful pit bull and we fear that someone either stole her to try to breed her (guys ask ab it all the time) but she's been neutered bc we got her from the spca so we also explain that that isn't possible. But our worst fear is that someone took her to fight her. While she is a pitbull she is the friendliest dog you'll ever meet and she not at all aggressive so we fear that they'll use her for practice which is really killing me.

Also I don't know if you guys read my rant ab our bestman not being able to afford to attend the wedding so we canceled he trip last month. Well yesterday my fi texted me so excited bc the bestman had set up alot of studio work for the next couple of weeks so that he could attend the wedding. And of course all of their studio equipment was stolen last night so now he won't be able to go. I am so stressed out right now. It just seems like when one door opens for us, 10 doors slam shut in our faces....

Ashley - oh no! I'm so sorry about your house and your dog...that is horrible...I hope you get your pup back

Oh no! That's terrible. I hope you find your pup. And as well hope there wasn't much damage done to your home.

Oh Ashley I'm so sorry about Cuji! The studio too.... I would lose it if something happened like that to our "jupiter the dog". I hope you find Cuji soon and that's she's ok.

Try not to get too discouraged with the other stuff. Hopefully your homeowners/renters insurance will cover the items stolen??

My goodness Ashley, I just welled up reading your post. Try to stay positive and pray that you'll get him back. I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now. I have 2 boxers and I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to them. Also, I hope you find whoever broke into your studio and maybe salvage some of your equipment!
