I haven't booked one, but this is something my FI and his father would LOVE to do but from what I've researched in the past it's soo expensive. When we were in Hawaii we looked into it and it was $800 per person! I haven't researched prices around Jamaica, though so maybe they have better deals?

The guys did one the week of our wedding. Unfortunatley my DH just left for work, but what I do remember...

It was about $600 for a half-day for up to a set number of people. I want to say 6, becuse at one point I think that is how many were going to go.

We booked through the tour companies on the resort. We talked to four different representatives and they all recommended the same boat.

The boat was nice and they had a good time - relatively - they did not catch anything and only had two nibbles. They did an afternoon tour becuase that was all that was available. Not surprising since all the tour companies use the same boat. They were told mornings are better. So, if you can you might want to try to book it in advance through you TA.

We went on one in Puerto Vallarta for our friends wedding and it was awesome!! There was 6 of us...3 couples and it was around $100 a person...the two other girls including the bride were soooo sea sick they slept underneath almost the whole 8 hours and my fiance was sick for the first couple hours but he stayed up with me and the two other guys....he kept throwing up overboard though...but every time he threw up we caught fish so it was very exciting!! We caught a lot of fish lol We had other boats following us cause we did so good! It is such a good idea for the guys to do before the wedding too! When we go we are definatly going to do it again and we just checked out the Punta Cana Marina so we could book a good chater ahead of time just to make sure! Even the girls will have fun...just not if you get sea sick...ughh that would suck!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
