i've been wondering the same thing, but i know it's definitely a matter of personal preference. i would probably tip the dj, and i'm giving our pastor a tip as a gift, but he isn't a judge or anything since we're doing the symbolic ceremony. still up in the air on the WC. i know they work really hard, but i'll probably just make a game-time decision on that one!

on a non-wedding note, i have heard that if you tip the bartenders and service staff around the resort really well during your first day or so, you end up getting even better service for your whole trip (since i've heard it's good regardless)!

We are most likely doing the buffet (50 ppl+) - which is $32/pp + 10% service + 15% tax. Do you think we still need to tip the servers? What about the DJ, Minister, WC? Just curious what all of you think?
I'm glad you posted the price for the buffet because I was wondering about that, the menu packages tells you the price for sit donw dinners but didn' say the price for the buffet. Do you know if the buffet gives you the option to choose 2 meat choices, like fish and steak or chicken and steak etc.... ?

T&C.. i have asked the WCs that, and they accomodate 3 weddings without any difficulty. they have enough photographers, stylists, etc. on staff that they should be able to handle your wedding no problem. they would not offer those services if they weren't available for everyone. the only thing that you'll have to deal with is reception locations, but from what i've heard, all of them are incredible and beautiful!

Thank you so much! I did email my details off yesterday, but have not heard back from any WC. Are they all equally awesome or should I request a specific one wink.gif

Hey guys thanks for the responses to my questions and a special thanks for the pictures of the flowers, bouquet, and cake. It really helps for my planning :)

Has anyone asked about the food for kids? I want to have just chicken fingers, fries, and veggies for the kids instead of rack of lamb...I was told half price for kids but I think that is only if they are eating what the adults are eating. I heard of someone else paying $4.95 for burgers and fries.

Okay I just got an email from Deyanira that the buffet was $50-55 plus $26 taxes and gratuities o_O?? She said those were 2009 prices. Am I missing something?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
