Post here if you are getting married in Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married on May 22, 2010 at Caesar's Palace Venus Garden. Our reception will be at Maggiano's and we'll have approx. 50 guests. We've booked our photographer as well and I'm just working on booking makeup and the florist. I've just started looking for dresses and think I found the one - Maggie Sottero "Melissa Brooch"! Dress shopping has definitely made the whole wedding planning experience more "real"!

Hi

I am getting married in Vegas May 2010 and am torn between Caesars Venus Gardens and MGM Terazza! Does anyone have advice for me?

Also we are trying to decide on a reception area but haven't a clue where to start...is the insuite reception more cost effective for 75 people?

Thanks for all of the advice

I'd say Caesars hands down. IMO the MGM is starting to show it's age. There are very few suites that are large enough to fit 75 people. You could try the Stardust Suite at the Orleans, Absolut Suite at Caesars, or the Apex at Planet Hollywood.

I have no experience with MGM but I can tell you that everyone has been absolutely fabulous at Caesar's Palace. The rooms are gorgeous and the bed is so comfortable. I know your not supposed to sleep in Vegas but it was impossible not to! The customer service during your stay is incredible and my wedding coordinator was always available to answer any questions or help with any of the selection processes.

For 75 people I would recommend Joe's at the Forum shops. You want the GIGI room! There is a pic of it on the internet but it doesn't do it justice. The room is stunning and the food is FABULOUS!!! Check out trip advisor - the restaurant is ranked 10 out of over a 1000 restaurants. You can check out their website to see the catering menus so you can decide on whether the food and prices are what your looking for.

Thank you so much for your advice! WE are looking at MaggianoI's for our recpetion. Do you know if the coordinators at Caesar's will let you not put the greenery around the Gazebo? For some reason I like with better!
Thanks for all of your advice!
My mom made my bridesmaids bouquets out of fake flowers and they are gorgeous! You can't even tell they are fake.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
