You're gonna LOVE being a part of this amazing forum!!!

My best advice as you start down the road to your wedding day would be just to take your time and do lots of research before you book or buy anything (attire, flowers, you name it!) and make sure it's all that you've envisioned for your BIG DAY!

And that's where this phenomenal site comes in: BDW has proven to be invaluable in my planning, and it's comforting to know that there are other brides and grooms out there experiencing the same highs and lows during their planning process...a friend is always just on the other side of your computer screen!

CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome to BDW...it's a wedding-planning heaven!

Congrats on your wedding! I'm potentially planning a wedding around the same time as you, so that's exciting! My FI and I were there (Dreams Cancun) from July 5-12 in 2008 and I thought the weather was great! I can only remember it raining one evening and it didn't last long. Yes, it is hot in July, but it is also pretty windy so I didn't mind the heat as much. I tend to enjoy hot weather though, so that may just be me! Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for your perspective. That is exciting. We definitely should keep in touch. Have you contacted Dreams yet?

Island Bride, I'm going to be in Jamaica this weekend. But I'm staying at the Riu Tropical Bay in Negril for only 3 days. I can't wait to go, I heard Jamaica has the most beautiful beaches/sunsets. Congrats on your decision.

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! We have a slideshow up on our webiste from Dreams Cancun so you may want to check it out to see what the resort has to offer you. July wedding here in Mexico will be HOT! Chance of rain is slim and if it does rain... it will probably only be for a couple minutes. This is all based on living here... but we think you will love it! We also have a sunset calculator on our website. I think you would want to have a 4pm or 5pm wedding so you can take advantage of the great evening light.

Best of luck with all your plans.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
