Had supper at 730-1030....the reception time does not start untill your supper starts (supper was served basically right at 730 too, no messin around!) and really we said 1030 but we danced untill atleast 11 and then went to the disco which is AWESOME! Altho we did not stay long our friends had a blast...that disco was pumpin almost every night!!

Wow, see I wanted a later ceremony, but the WC said the latest she would suggest was 4:00 because the sun then goes behind the trees and it affects the lighting for the photographer. Did you have any problems with that?

Hi,

I am concerned about the reception being too short as well not to mention the possibilities of rain since my wedding is on 6/5/10 at PPC. I will be having weather permitting a beach ceremony at 6pm since the sunset in June is around 7:15. Then I will have 1 hr cocktail hour and my reception will follow at the Romantico. I plan on dinner and dancing as well. I figure if its too short we will just move party to the disco.

Hey! Come July the sun will be setting earlier then it did in June, however the sun did not set untill around 730 for our wedding June 9. We did pictures right up untill 730 and our photographer had no issues. They are proffessionals and know how to work with the lighting...also I wanted sunset pictures but unfortunately the sun sets behind some mountains in Punta Cana at that time of year and there are no sunsets sad.gif Oh well!

This is what it looked like the day we got married...some blue sky, some clouds, but it was perfect!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
