I talked to Jacy this morning and she was going to send me pictures of possible locations ie lagoon, poolside and beach plus some of the hotel photographers work. I am stuck between my extremely frugal fiance lol I will not say cheap but he's a farmer and well you know. I am thinking that we will end up going with the deluxe package, the gold or whatever and whatnot. I am not too keen on the buffet area/closed off. I know its free and can seat up to 35 people but I guess it also depends on how many other people come. If we are under 20 then I will do private reception. Where did you guys do your and was wondering if you had any comments. Thanks so much for the referal to Sasha Gluck, his work is amazing and i am hoping to book him. His prices are very reasonable.

 

Anyways off to do more housework and planning lol. Have a great day all.

okay I'm sitting here laughing because my FI sounds SO the same as yours when it comes to money!!! It's a family trait apparently. We're in the same position that you are regarding the meals, but because we don't want all the extras that comes with the gold/silver packages, we're just going to do the meals separately but not yet sure how we're going to swing it. Let me know what you get from Jacy!!

My reception was at the lagoon. The pics I have are the ones in my slideshow by Sascha (who is amazing by the way...I've been feeling like a walking advertisement lately, LOL). I believe there have been other brides on here who had their reception other places. lyales had hers on the beach by the gazebo, I know she had pics but you'd have to go back or search through prior posts. Someone also had their reception at the gazebo, but I can't remember quite who. I will have to search tonight and see if I can find pics.

No worries at all. I have plently of time. So I talked to another photographer today who really impressed me. She is actually friends with a good friend of mine from back home who recommended her. He lives down in Mexico doing arial circus work for Club Med resorts lol and he got some info for me. Her name is Lidia Grosse and she is offering me a much better deal for the same price. Oh what too do. Anyone know her or used her and have any comments to share? I have scene her online work and talked to her just looking for other feedback. Thanks.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
