Hi all, I have a question for past Dreams brides..

Im thinking of maybe doing a sand unity ceremony but dont know that much about it..I was wondering where in the ceremony it is done (is it done right after the vows and before the exchange of rings?), what is the wording of the ceremony and who says it, and is it hard to bring the vase of sand back through customshuh.gif it seems like you would have to hand hold the bottle of sand when you fly back or else the sand would get mixed too much in your luggage?

any feedback would be appreciated!!!

Hey there, the sand ceremony deal is actually pretty cool. It is said right after you do your vows, and just before they "pronounce you husband and wife." We didnt have any problems bringing it back through customs. After all, its fake sand anyways. The wording is fairly typical, something like what you have with a unity candle. You know, they talk about how its two people pouring sand and how 2 vases of sand become one, just like the two of us joining in marriage. Things like that. The ceremony is only about 3 or 4 minutes long. It was read by our minister. I hope this helps.

we just set a wedding date for next april! smile29.gif

we got quoted a group rate of $167 per person. didn't really seem like much of a deal over some of the internet packages. did anyone book thru the hotel? is there any advantage to booking straight thru the hotel? i am trying to decide what to tell my friends and family who are interested in setting something up....

thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
