Carnival Miracle wedding review

I have a few complaints regarding the wedding coordinators from A Wedding for You and Carnival is dealing with it right now. Long story short they were rude, not helpful and even were heard saying "eat and drink as much as you want, its all paid for."

I truly hope no one else has to deal with people like that but thank goodness for my family who picked up the slack and not taking no for an answer.

Not sure what time we got on the boat but we all crammed into my room and got dressed. The ships photographer came in and took a bunch of shots and then we were all out the door. No time for a rehersal.

The ceremony was wonderful, it felt like a dream and I had to keep saying to myself, stop, look around, and enjoy every moment! It really does fly by and all you are left with is the memories. I made sure I looked out into the audience a few times just to take it all in.

The reception in the piano bar was interesting. We were told by our not so helpful coordinators right as I'm about to walk into the bar that there was no microphone to announce us. I'm like okay great what do you want me to do about it??

We went in for our first dance and found the dance floor to be TINYYYY so we couldn't even do the dance we took lessons for. Oh well. Then we went to cut our cake and take pictures. I kept running around the room bumming food from everyone cause I knew I had to eat some of the food I paid for haha. It was funny everyone just kept feeding me. And after what felt like 30 minutes but really was an hour and a half all the non sailers had to get off the boat. I stood at the front of the piano bar and gave everyone a kiss and a hug goodbye.

We went for the muster drill shortly after and met back up with the photographer. He had us doing all sorts of silly poses but I made sure i got NYC and the Statue of Liberty in the back ground. I really thought the pictures were just going to be okay, BUT when we met up with him a few days later I realized how AMAZING his pictures were. I ended up buying the entire package for $4000!!! He said we were really easy to photograph and that he only threw out 10% of our pictures which was unheard of. He said he was also going to be using a few of our photos in his portfolio because they came out so perfect. I gotta say it was a great ego boost.

Even with all the little problems I'm left with wonderful memories of our special day and the cruise.

A few tips for the brides is just go with the flow, if something is forgotten and left behind, Oh well no biggie! Let your family take control of things you cannot do and my most important tip is stop, look around, and enjoy every moment. It goes by soooo quickly and you want to take in all you can.

Best of luck to all of you!!

Lissy was great. I had no problems with her at all.

Hopefully you will have better coordinators then I had. If not get family members to take control of it and sit back and enjoy your day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
