Flower help!!

Recommended Posts

I'm so frustrated with the trying to decide on flowers for the wedding. I love two different bouquet options, I sent them both to the florist the told me both will cost about $275-300 and the bridesmaids will be $90 each. This is probably stupid, but I'm really struggling with spending almost $500.00 on flowers! I probably won't even be able to bring them home, so that makes it even harder for me to want to purchase them.

I've looked on some of the websites for the real touch flowers, most of them have been in bright/dark pinks. I'm looking for a pale pink. Another thing I've noticed is with the pink calla lillies that I've seen that are the real touch flowers, the center stem is pink and on the real ones it's a yellow color.

These are the two bouquets that I love, I'm open to suggestions if y'all have some...I'd love to hear your opinions on this!

I'd prefer a little lighter pink, than the top picture}

I have emailed three different places for quotes about the real touch flowers, but haven't heard back from any of them as of yet. I'd really planned on doing real flowers, I guess I just didn't realize how expensive they would be!! I really fell behind on making a decision for the flowers. :

I really like both of those a lot! ... but if you're wanting something lighter maybe you could have some more white flowers added in to offset the bright pink so much? or I know some florists websites I've looked at offer dyeable flowers so maybe you could look into that so they could just dye your flowers the right color?

I think that if you are having trouble deciding because of the money that is spent, but you had your heart set on real flowers, what you could maybe do is, get yourself the bouqet that you desire(Think about in the future saying, I wish I would have) and possibly getting your bridesmaids the real touch? They may not be exactly the same as your bouqet, but eye focus will be on you, not your bridesmaids...... Just a thought.

I love both of those bouquets. I'm sure someone with real touch flowers should have a lighter pink for you - hopefully they reply with some good news. Also look around more for real touch flowers that maybe you can put together yourself and mix a couple of different shades of light pink to help it off-set a little. I also agree with LeeshaS, maybe you could get the bouquet of real flowers for yourself and then use the real touch for everything else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
