Hi Ladies!

What a great forum - i just spent some time reading through some of the posts and i am grateful to have found this site and community. i hope i can share as many resources as i have already found. We are currently negotiating pricing with 2 resorts - one in USVI and one in P.R.

Can anyone recommend a travel agent on the East Coast who can handle airfare and bookings?

Thanks!

Hey, welcome to the forum. Where in the USVI and P.R. are your negotiating prices?? Well, I'm using the forum host as my travel agent. Her name is Tammy (username: host). Not sure how her schedule is for next year, but she's awesome. That's the only T.A. I know of that I can suggest. :)

Hello & welcome4.gif! I am also in the Philly area. I am using a travel agent who is based out of the Lehigh Valley. She specializes in cruises & destination weddings and ONLY deals with the Caribbean. If you want, I can get you her information.

Hi - Thank you for welcoming me. We are talking with Carambola Beach Resort in St. Croix and Normandie in P.R. We were also looking at Caneel Bay in St. John but their wedding coordinator and sales department took 2 months to send us an email that basically said Hi and still hasn't returned any of phone calls or messages so their out (and pretty expensive so probably for a reason!).

I recently was married in St. Thomas. The USVI is beautiful! Puerto Rico would also be an amazing option. I actually wanted to get married there over the USVI, but my FI's family was too scared to go there (ugh!).

I didn't use a travel agent though. Good luck in your search!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
