I could be totally wrong but for some reason Ana's name is familiar to me...maybe from another resort in the RM? Do you have Ana's contact details?

Good to know. I hope now we can get some emails answered. They did confirm that my wedding date is available but I'm still waiting on pricing info.

Also if anyone has a wedding package price list. Could you email it to me at megjps420@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it. I cant wait for it to open and see the end result.
Megan, I believe the prices are on the Dreams website... with three levels ranging from $1500-$3000. Good Luck!

I have been talking to the group sales mgr about group rates through the resort. Not sure whether to go with a travel agent or not. Is your travel agent getting better rates? What kind of commission does she charge? If you recommend working with her, I'd like to contact her. Thanks!

I scanned it and emailed it back to my TA who has been working directly with the WC. I'm not sure how she got it to her. I would imagine she forwarded the email. Do you have access to a scanner? I would say that would be the easiest. Faxing to Mexico might get expensive...
Would you recommend your travel agent? Not sure if I should use one or not. If you do recommend, can you provide contact info? Thanks!

This Ana must be the one that is going to be the WC at DRC. Sucks about not being able to bring in an outside photographer. I had not heard that at all. In fact I had been told that Photography and DJ are the two vendors that you can bring in. Wonder if you can only bring in one from a list they provide though?

What!!! This is very upsetting news. I just received an email from Ana introducing herself so I will be sure to ask her about this. Photography is the single most important aspect of the wedding to me and I will be very upset if I cannot bring in another vendor!!!

I too have been dealing with the groups sales manager...... not sure if I am going to get the best rates through them but I have no idea where to start with a travel agent! I am in Chicago so if anyone has suggestions please let me know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
