1. Date and place set - Dec. 12, 2009 at Sands resort in Turks and Caicos

2. STD sent out

3. Hotel booked

4. Photographer booked - Ileana Ravasio

5. Make-up artist booked

6. Invitations are done, will send them out next week. It's a small wedding - I'm anticipating 20 people.

7. Musicians booked

8. Reception dress and shoes are bought. Still looking for a wedding dress and FI's pants/shirt

9. Welcome bbq and reception site/caterers (Kissing fish) - booked. Still not sure about menu though...

10. In process of selecting a cake...

After I already found and booked everything, I finally decided I needed a wedding coordinator - just to be there and keep everything under control, so I don't have to do that. I have a phone-meeting this Monday with one of them, hopefully she's not gonna charge me an arm and leg for it...

Still needs to be done

1. Favors and OOT bags

2. wedding dress

3. FI wedding band and outfit

4. .... I know I'm forgetting something... OMG - I need to book tickets! I'm so silly... I gotta get there somehow so we can get married!

Happy Friday girly girls!

I mailed my invites today - Woo hoo!!!

And I found some cube picture frames at Target that I think I am going to use as centerpieces. The link is the inspiration, but I bought ones that are plastic and only cost $4 :)

ok girls....I think my FI's parents are booking their trip today! finally! They were worrying me a bit, because I know they can wait til the last minute, sooooooo.....

I'm leaving home today for a week (for work), so hopefully, I get a phone call today letting me know they are all set! I feel bad for my FI, all the guests that have booked so far, are from my side of the family/friends. ;(

Yea Jill! I hope they did book!!!!

Isn't it strange how friends totally jump at a DW. This wedding really has proven that you can choose your friends but not your family.

It is a good day because I just talked to my dad, and my brothers passport finally got approved. Apparently my brother hadn't paid taxes from his high school/college job and his passport application was denied! OMG, my mom has been freaking out and my dad ended up paying all of his back taxes so he could get the passport! His taxes were 3 times what my parents gave us for the wedding! I feel absolutely awful about all of this and am thinking about giving them back the money they gave us. What a poopy situation sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
