I'm thinking the same thing, but I'm afraid I might not like it.

Courtney ~ You make a very valid point! aggghhh....what to do.

Hey your wedding is right after mine!! So I booked with Suzanne a few weeks ago and I am skipping the trial run only because the others girls on forum looked so beautiful. Besides I am going to use that money on gift certificates for the BM's. I figure they can either get another service done or use it towards the updo cost. Aren't you getting excited!!!

I did NOT do a trial run and it was fine! I also wanted more time with my guests by the pool... :) But then again, I didn't do an up-do, I just had my hair flat-ironed and pulled back - very simple.

The woman I had didn't speak English, but an assistant (Paolina) came with her and she translated everything. I think this is always the case, so I wouldn't worry about the language barrier. I also did have a picture which I think helped a lot.

Jess - if you give yourself enough time on the day of your wedding, you probably don't need a trial run. Do you have a pic of what you want to do?

Thanks Jen. I was thinking the same thing....all the girls who used her looked fantastic. My original thought is a simple curly 1/2 up, 1/2 down look....but, I'm a little afraid I will be too hot, so I might switch to an updo. But, I think I'll skip the trial. Thanks!! Oh, and I do have some sample pics, so I should be fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
