I thought it will be useful to provide all of you with the information that I have gathered from my WC (My wedding is on Oct 19/09)

here is the wedding packages prices for 09 (catholic) as well as the cocktail hour prices and the spa prices.

Okay, can someone clear this up for me. Can you only get married at the gazebo if you are staying at the palace? We are looking to stay at the tropical and have always preferred the gazebo instead of beach set-up. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Hello All,

 

We finally decided the Barcelo Tropical after visiting in the beginning of July. We visited several resorts and both liked the Barcelo's, hands down! I will try to get pics of the resort up...

 

We are in the booking process, have sat with Victoria and looked through books and picked flowers, locations and pricing.

 

We are getting sooo excited!!!

 

I found this thread so funny because I too, taught high school for 5 years, so it appears teachers like Barcelo...or destination weddings in general :)

We were told $63 pp additional on packages...we didn't get into bargaining anything just yet. I was going to send a written out "contract" (so to say) to get our overall wedding in writing with pricing so there are little to no surprises. We are waiting to see how many we are taking before trying to negotiate some things. we are thinking it will be about 50-60 people. We may negotiate the upgrade on liquor for both the cocktail hour and reception?

I am getting my pics on disc today to download...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
