hey megan!! we went back and forth, back and forth on this issue. trying to find hotels suitable for our guests in price and high up in the charm and location factor was key. it took a lot of searching but we did find some really amazing places, all in the conchas chinas area. i would highly recommend looking into the little boutique hotels and also villas. we booked out 2 properties (quinta maria cortez & casa tres vidas) and are filling all 17 rooms with family/wedding party and close friends. ppl that won't be in the villa are at a hotel within walking distance. including flight, our guests will be spending no more than 1K each, unless they loooove to shop...that's the high end though. after booking rooms and flights, some of my friends (factoring in a couple hundred to spend) are only spending about $6-700 for their 4 night vacation!

i've got some hotel info on my website, link is on my siggy, if you want to check it out.

hope it helps to get an idea of what our guests indend on spending, keep in mind they are mostly all flying from CA, so flights are cheap, about $300.
good luck!

thanks, andi!! unfortunately, it's not an actual photo of LC, but it's a little animated map they have of LC on the website...i photoshopped little footprints into it that lead from wehre it shows the boat docking to where the ceremony will be. :) as for a regular photo - i totally store one for my website, too!! haha.

THIS WEEK i will motivate to finish those invites!! they are sooo close, just tweaking some final images...the printer said of the sample he did some stuff was slightly pixelated. ugh!!

JOJOXXO - my colors are alllll over the place, the colors in my monogram, in addition to one or 2 other that i have create a "feeling" that i'm into, but i'm not a definite color-type of girl...:) my bouquet is going to be all sunflowers and there is NO yellow in my palette. lol.

Hello my name is Marie and I'm a LC bride. We will be getting married in Dec. (17) We have been married for 10 years but this is our first wedding. So we want it to be special. We thought this place is so perfect. Kelly & Nichole have been really great! We are doing the barefoot ceremony. But I had a few questions are we able to bring our own table runners and decor?

Also, has anyone gone to Teatro Limon Resturant in Puerto Vallarta? Any inexpensive photographers?

Wow, thanks girls for all of the info!

Andi- I really appreciate all the photo links...I think I have my FI almost convinced! I have been talking with Kelley and she has been really helpful, especially because I have had about a million questions. One question for you - I was looking through your slideshow and it looks like you had a tequila tasting bar!! Which I think would be a huge hit with my friends and family. If you don't mind, how much was the tequila tasting bar?

Di- Thanks for the great hotel info. Most of my guests will be coming from Phx so the plane tickets should be pretty similar to yours.

Joelle- I too have fallen in love with LC through all of the amazing photos and I am not even sure I will be able to do a site visit before the wedding!!

alright ladies...here's what i've been working on to sell our upcoming las caletas wedding to friends and family. it's going to be an accordian fold invite on heavy stock...double sided. here's the side that has all the details of our day. (you'll have to use your imagination to see folds) once we get them printed, folded and super pretty and presentable, i'll be sure to post the link to the thread that i post 'em on.

Meghan - the tequila tasting table was a last minute decision that we added and it was the hit of the reception! especially since I for the life of me could not get anyone to dance...I just made them take shots instead! rofl.gif I don't think it cost extra we did have to buy the bottles of tequila though, which wasn't a big deal. we just bought them when we got to PV then gave them all to nicole and she did the rest. I made the signs

Di - the invites look great!

congrats on officially being an LC bride! smile29.gif

I did get a price quote on having a cigar roller at the reception. (although I can't remember the exact cost) we ended up not having one because the minimum was 50 cigars. we only had a group of 35 so it was sort of pointless (to us at least) because we would have ended up with too many cigars

hey megan! we are hiring a cigar roller for our welcome party - kelley is setting it up for us and he'll show up on the rooftop of the casa we're staying at as a surprise. i think we're paying $300 for that.

oh! i almost forgot - CONGRATS joelle for setting your date - and CONGRATS to megan for becoming official. LC brides!!! woootwoooot!

andi - meant to tell you that i soooo wish we could do a tequila tasting table, but i'm so scared of how wasted our friends would get. hahaha - it would definitely be bad news on the beach and boat...not to mention would probably give my little asian mom a heart attack!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
