I may have found my dress!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies!

I am so excited that I may have found my dress and I wanted to share it with you all!!!

It's actually kind of funny because I went dress shopping about 4 months ago with my MOH, and found this dress. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend though, but we took a photo of it on me with my camera phone. This past weekend, we went shopping again, to 3 different stores. At 2 out of the 3, the dress found it's way to me again!!! lol.

At the 2nd store we went to, I found it on the rack, tried it on and loved it! (But I didn't realize it was the same dress I tried on 4 months ago, and had photos of). I got the lady to write down the # of the dress so I could come back with my mom. (And it was cheaper there than the first time I found it, which I didn't realize at the time because I didn't know it was the same dress). Then the 3rd store we went to last weekend, I walked in and the lady asked me what I was looking for. So once I told her she said, "Oh I think you'll like this one, it's beautiful" and pulled out the SAME DRESS!!! My MOH looked at me with a smile because she knew I just tried it on. It was even cheaper at this 3rd store too!

So when we were leaving my MOH asked to see the picture of the dress we loved 4 months ago and she said, "OMG it's the same dress!" haha.

Maybe it was meant to be?

Here it is:

If I get it, I need to know what shoes to wear because they measure from hollow to hem (I think that's what it is) and have it made for me.

Any advice on that? Do most of you girls go with flat shoes? Or something with a heel?

Cara

Wow! What a gorgeous dress....I can see why you kept going back to it! It's funny how the one keeps coming back to haunt you (in a good way).

As far as shoes go...ANYTHING goes. A lot of girls on here opt for gorgeous heels in bright colors and some even decide to wear good ol' fashioned flip flops. Take a look at this thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t18087 and you'll find a whole bunch of options.

Congrats on the dress!

You were stalked by a dress wink.gif! It is beautiful and you will look amazing in it! As for the shoes I am doing barefoot sandals for the wedding and flats for the reception. But it is really up to you and what you would feel most comfortable in. I decided on flats because I am going to get married barefoot and if I was going to wear heels at the reception, the dress would be too short or vice versa. But I say it just personal preference.

That's how I felt too! I figured the dress would be too short if I got it hemmed for flats, and then wore heels at the reception. Maybe I will just stick to flats.. I am more comfortable in flats, I'm not really a heel girl, BUT I do really LOVE the idea of having cute purple shoes under my dress, with a nice heel.... I guess I'll have to figure out what I would rather: Be comfortable, or have cute purple shoes under my dress!!! :P

Thank you all for the comments! I really do love the dress, and ever since I found it online, I can't stop staring at it. I pull it up all day at work and just admire it. LOL. I can't wait to show my mom!

Do you guys think it's ok for a destination wedding? It has lots of beading along the bottom, and all the way up the train

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
