Has anyone gotten their dress from there? I walked by there last week, and had heard some stories about their salespeople being pushy. Anyone out there with a different take? Has anyone gotten their BM dresses from there? It looked like the Dessy HQ was next door.

I didn't get my dress from there but I watch Say Yes to the Dress all the time (Kleinfeld's reality show) and they don't seem pushy at all. And you can't beat that they have an absurd amount of dresses in stock, you are sure to find something you like!

Sort of like Jessica mentioned, although I haven't shopped there, I also watch "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC every Friday. Although they are there to makes sales, none of the bridal consultants they feature on the show seem to push brides to buy something if they don't really love a gown.

If they are pushy about anything, it's adhering to the time slots they set for each appointment, and if a bride can't find something in the hour and a half she's allotted, they need to move on to their next bride waiting in the lobby...otherwise, we'd all try on dresses from the time they open til the time they close, right?! :)

No actual experience there but they really don't cater to brides with smaller budgets, every time I see a bride on the show with a budget less than 2000 the first "challenge" the consultant brings up is actually finding a dress in the store for much less than that. I feel like I see brides blowing their budget on that show a lot because they were allowed to try on things they couldn't afford.

That being said if you have the budget for a dress from Kleinfeld, I can't imagine another store to top the selection available there.

I totally agree with you on this... The last few episodes I've watched there have been occasions when a bride tells them that she has a budget of maybe $2500 and is shown a fabulous dress with a $5000 price tag. She falls in love w/ it and finds that she can't leave w/out it. I don't know about everyone else, but if I walk in with a budget I don't think it's fair to show me gowns that are double what I came in with. I think I have seen the new consultant Carmel (sp?) do this a few times.

It's cruel to show a bride a dress you know she can't afford. But so many people do that, because most brides will end up coughing up the cash if they're in love. I think people who do that should have to pay the difference from their pocket!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
