Oh that's too bad.. All the same, we've requested some information from the wedding planner and are getting a quote. It looks like a great resort.

On another subject, I've read in a couple of spots that there is no beach other than the man-made beach at the resort. But some pictures make it look as though there is obviously an ocean front beach. Can someone who has been settle that question?

Thanks!

It is a man made beach. From the pictures that I have seen, the ocean looks a bit rough where the beach would have been, so they've brought it into a bay type area and put down sand. If you check out trip advisor you will find lots of pictures!

We actually compromised on the beach at this resort because it had everything else we were looking for.

Hope that helps!

Another question- I was confused a bit by the response from Marialma about whether or not it's ok to bring in an outside photographer. Has anyone brought their own in?
I'm bringing my own. The response I got from Marialma was that they either had to be guests of the hotel, or you had to pay the $65 guest pass to bring them in for the night.

It looks like the top link is the resort, and the bottom link is for a wedding at the eco park -- Xcaret. They are right next to each other, but not one in the same.

Thank you. Reading a bit more it looks like the Park is a bit more expensive.

Can someone please email me the pricelist and other relevant docs to

gmesina A.T gmail D.OT com.

I guess I don't have enough points to download them.

I would like to know if you can extend the 3hr reception time? Seems a bit short.

Thanks!

You can extend it as long as you want. the only downside is it's $18/pp/hr for the open bar after the included 3 hours in the dinner price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
