Thanks, loanmao!

Re: the photos at night, I think that might have been the photographer experimenting with the photos (to make them look a bit grittier/journalistic) but I can't say for sure.

After Elizabeth posted the teasers, she sent me a link to our slideshow and gallery and there are tonnes of photos at night without the grainy look.

I'll post a link to the slideshow here so you can have a look at the difference.

Thanks, jesman! When it's closer to your wedding, ask your WC to book your trials at the salon for you in advance. They get really busy and fill up quickly!

Hey cinny726!

What Kim is telling you kinda makes sense, I think. They have a policy for outside vendors to pay $100 to get on the property. Kim mentioning you have to pay the photog as a guest probably means (and I'm guessing here) that you have to cover the vendor's meal. Since they aren't a paying guest of the resort, they can't eat at the restaurants.

In my situation, it was in our photographer's contract that I cover one night's accommodation for her near the resort. I determined that it was more expensive for me to pay the hotel stay, plus the vendor fee, plus a day pass for the photog and her assistant.

Instead, I booked the photog one night's stay at the resort. Doing this, I didn't have to pay the day pass/guest meal 'cause the photographer was able to get dinner at the resort restaurants and I didn't have to pay a vendor fee because the photographer was a 'guest' of the resort.

I hope this helps.

I noticed in the gazebo that there was no red carpet...have they stopped using that or did you just not want to use it?
I'm wondering if I should or shouldn't...as I think my color scheme might involve pink and it will prob clash...
Hey jaxsebridetobe!

the red carpet came with our package but we opted out of using it; I didn't like the look of red against our colour scheme of blue, green, and yellow.

If you want an aisle runner in another colour, you'll need to bring your own; the don't have any other options.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
