Hello Ladies

Our first dance song was . . .

Sea of Love by Robert Plant & Jimmy Page (The Honey Drippers)

Bride Entrance to Chapel Gazebo

* Israel Kamakawiwo Ole' - Somewhere Over The Rainbow Lyrics

It was so fitting & beautiful - the most magical day of our lives.

Best of Luck

Our first dance song was to "Then" and it was perfect :-)
WE are big Country fans and big Brad Paisley fans, so when we heard this song a couple of months ago, we knew that it was the song! :-)

It's beautiful :-)

I've started thinking about this so I have no idea what song we'll end up with - especially since FH and I have very different taste in music. He's a very classic rock kind of guy - think Rush, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, etc; and in his opinion pretty much anything released after 1980 is crap, lol. And my tastes are kind of all over the place, but mostly newer alternative rock - think Saliva, P.O.D., Theory of a Deadman, Kings of Leon, etc. So coming to a compromise on this may be a challenge, but we'll see. I just finished reading thru this whole thread and as I was going through it I was looking up lyrics, and downloading songs, and I made up a playlist of the songs I like. We're leaving this Wed and driving out to MI, so I'll have about 4 hours in the car where we can just listen to some music and I'll see what he has to say about my choices :) I'm hoping we can compromise maybe with a DMB song.

But I also wanted to throw this out there for you rock kind of brides who maybe want something a little more edgy - "Forever" by Kiss. It was on one of the first CD's that FH made more me when started dating and the lyrics are really touching -

I gotta tell you what I'm feelin inside, I could lie to myself, but its true

Theres no denying when I look in your eyes, girl I'm out of my head over you

I lived so long believin all love is blind

But everything about you is tellin me this time

Chorus:

Its forever, this time I know and theres no doubt in my mind

Forever, until my life is thru, girl Ill be lovin you forever

I hear the echo of a promise I made

When you're strong you can stand on your own

But those words grow distant as I look at your face

No, I don't wanna go it alone

I never thought I'd lay my heart on the line

But everything about you is tellin me this time

Chorus - yeah!

I see my future when I look in your eyes

It took your love to make my heart come alive

Cos I lived my life believin all love is blind

But everything about you is tellin me this time

Chorus repeats 2x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
