Hey everyone! For those of you who have bought fans for your guests or are planning to, where is the best place to get them and how much are they about? I would also like to bring those coloured round lanterns that can be hung but im not sure where to get them from. Any suggestions??

Hey Meghan!

 

I got my patio lanterns from asianideas.com. There prices were good, and they had a lot of options in size and shapes for the colours I wanted. They also arrived super quick - I'm in Canada too. They also have parasols and fans too I think.

I got my fans from weddingthings.ca. I have seen better since.

Thanks for the websites for the fans and lanterns girls! I was looking at the lanterns on the websites, and it looks like they require cords. Was this a problem for any of you who used lanterns? I also noticed there are battery operated ones but they look a bit different and are more expensive. I'm just not sure how the cords could be hidden. Any suggestions?

Hi OMT, We are using a TA, The Wedding Holiday, and all of our guests have booked through them. I think it is easier for the guests because the TA knows exactly what is going on with the wedding group and where everyone needs to stay as opposed to just booking online.

Everything is finally coming together! I booked our photographer for our march 3 wedding.

I am going with Jon Rennie out of Toronto. I loved the pics he did for another mexcio wedding and he seems really nice and easy to work with.

Meghan I'm using The Wedding Holiday too. Have your guests actually put deposits down already? My wedding is WAY before yours and I'm having such a hard time getting them to book. They procrastinated so badly that I've already lost the 10 extra spots that The Wedding Holiday held for me sad.gif.

It's obviously nothing to do with the Wedding Holiday - they've been great through this whole thing. I guess its just unfortunate for me that my crowd is not cooperating. Anyways, if you have any tips for me on how to get them to book, let me know!!!

Hey Nikki,
That's sooooo frustrating! Why have you lost your spots? I didn't realize we could lose them! We have 35 people booked so far. We booked the sensatori last September, just before it opened. By October, The Wedding Holiday had made our save the date invite and I sent that out immediately through email. I told guests that it was very important to book asap if they were interested in coming because it is a very popular resort, and it will book up fast. I also talked in person to friends and family who i am very close to about booking right away. Other than being a little pushy, I don't know what you can do. People are funny though...some friends of my parents (who I barely even know) booked right away to come on the trip, yet my fiances family are taking a while to book. How many people do you have coming so far?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
