Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies!

As promised, here are my professional pictures from our wedding! We got Marco Cossu to do some pics during the reception (which is included in the Unforgettable Package - 36 pics) but if photos play an important part in your wedding, which they did for me, I highly suggest DELSOL Photography. Vincente did our pics, he's a bit cheaper then Sol or Matt but in my opinion just as good.

Congrats to Graciela, Hailadam and Soon2bePowers, and anyone else I may have missed! Sounds like everyone’s wedding was exactly what they wanted! I would love some tips and advice on how to plan. My wedding will be at the Valentin on Nov. 14th. . .and I haven't done any planning yet!! I am starting to freak out. . . but have been so busy with work that I haven't had much time. Now with only 4 months, I don't even know where to start. I also can't seem to view any of the links that people have posted! Can anyone help?! I would be grateful for any tips, checklists or opinions!! I think we will only have about 20 people so not sure that a private reception well be money will spent, especially because we are having a reception at home! HELP PLEASE!! My e-mail address is [email protected] if that is an easier way to communicate. . .

Lovely, lovely photos! You're one beautiful bride!
Would you be putting up a review for VIM? How did you like the resort/chapel? How did your guests like the resort? Was it relatively easy to get in and out from the airport? So many Q's!

Hoopchic,

I would try not to worry. I really feel that most of my communication a head of time was kind of unnecessary. Letting them know your ideas for location (beach, chapel, etc.), were good because it gave them and idea but with only one wedding a day in the end you can pick wherever you want. We let them know flowers, cake, dinner, location, etc. when we arrived on Monday (wedding was Thursday). If you are not arriving with some time before your wedding then they would probably need to know your cake and perhaps flowers. Also some things were given to us that we thought we would have to pay for. I wonder if we had confirmed them ahead of time if we would have been charged.

Our guests loved the resort and still talk about it all the time, because of their response we are debating a reunion trip next year!

*I am kind of hit or miss on the forum now that my wedding is over but PM me if you have any questions!

Hoopchic,

My ceremony is planned for November 21st this year and it is going to be small like yours. We figured that the most cost effective way was to pick a restaurant and have it there. As long as you eat the dinner there at the restaurant versus a special menu, it is free. And from what I can tell, they will put you in a private area of the restaurant.

Also as far as planning is concerned, like Powers said, most of it is planned when you arrive. I have taken care of my flowers, cake, location, time, dinner and I am working with the pastor on the ceremony.

Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!

Have a fantastic time and yes! Share the pics! If you don't mind, and you happen to go by the chapel, would you mind sharing with me what you thought? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
