Lisa, I'm actually glad she's not going to your wedding.

She didn't seem like a very good friend.

I know you will have a wonderful time without her.

Cheer up don't let her get you down

:).

Wow Lisa - that is so strange! I'm glad you are handling this in stride - but what the hell is up your friends butt? She must have some serious issues with you getting married (or should I say, her NOT getting married). As much as it sucks to have your supposed best friend do this to you, at least she won't be there to ruin your day. BOO on her!

Lisa, I am so sorry you had to deal with all of this. But, they say there is at least one in every wedding party, and you found yours. Hopefully now you can put it past you and realise that she was not the right person for the job. At least you know this now, and not later when its too late, or just before your wedding. You can move on and pick the right person for the job and she will be honoured that you picked her. Its a new fresh start, and the next person will do a much much better job.

I am so glad this happened now and not a month from now or in Mexico.

I called my sister-in-law last night and asked if she wanted a promotion to MOH - she was soooo excited. Her and my bro have been together since I was 8, so she knows me well =)

That is awesome. I told you someone else would be so happy to get the MOH title. I am so glad she is what happy. She will do a great job to show you that you made the right choice and you will get a lot more help then your ex MOH even thought about giving you.

Lisa, I'm so sorry!! She's not a very good friend to do this to you. I know its hard to have to let a friend go and to know that she won't be there for your big day, but its better that you know now that she wasn't the friend you thought she was. Its so hard when that happens, I've had it happen with a couple of friends and it was very hard. I have 3 close girl friends now, but lately we don't talk as much and none of them are coming to our wedding, which really bothers me. Lately I've actually been closer to some of FI's "girl" friends than I have to my own.

Sometimes friends really suck!

I totally agree with that statement right now!! You know, I hang out more with James' friends "girls" also. Only because we hang with his friends alot, and as I stated earlier, I don't have many "girl friends". So whatever, I like them and they will work as my friends for now....and they WILL be at our wedding.

I've always had more guy friends too, hence the reason I only have 3 friends! I'm in the exact same boat, steves friends are coming and I like them, I'm happy they're coming. You know what annoys me even more is when my friends have rude comments about steve's "girl" friends,(just to give you a little background we went to rival high schools and my friends just don't know how to grow up and get over the fact that they didn't like these girls back in high school, how old are we? And these girls are now my friends too and I like them so please don't say rude things about them!)

Steve really does not like my friends much anymore, as a matter of fact I was on the phone last night with one of them and mentioned that two of his friends had booked and found a really great price and he yells in the background, "Yeah, they did some research and found a really great price because they REALLY wanted to go" I'm like shut up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
