Hi Stay-C!
Like NegrilLB said, the package includes the chair covers, sashes, aisle runner, etc. The package price is the same wherever you decide to have the ceremony.

The $18 pp covers the cake. The number of guests determine the size of your cake.

Here are couple of pics of my cake. We had a little less than 70 people. I was being adventurous and had a different flavor for each layer.... strawberry cheesecake, vanilla & Jamaican fruit cake. Most guests liked the strawberry cheesecake.

Hello all - I just want to say thank you to everyone on this thread. I have been searching for a destination between Punta Cana and Jamaica for a month now and after reading all of these comments. I think I just made up my mind. Now I just need to ensure two more things if my date is available and do they have scuba divinghuh.gif

Thanks Imuze, that does help. I just got a quote back from one TA for $225 per person per night! Way too much. It was a little disappointing because when I talked to her she was telling me what great group rates she would be able to get us. I have found some rates online that are around the rate that you're getting so I'll either direct my guests to the discount websites or find a TA that can get those same rates. I don't usually use travel agents but I'm thinking it might be a good idea with a large group.

NegrilLB:

I would recommend you definitely talk to a TA, mine quoted me $1260/pp double occupancy for 7 nights which includes air from Miami and $713/pp double occupancy for 3 nights again including air these rates are for last week of April 2010.

Chelymo,

Do you happen to know what airline these rates are from? I am sure that your rates would be a little cheaper from MIA than from DC, especially since you have so many options for direct flights.

Christina:

I'm not 100% sure but the only nonstop out of MIA is on American Airlines so I am assuming on AA. I did check from Ft. Laud since it's not far for my guests and the fares would be about the same (Air Jamaica and Spirit Airlines).

Which travel agent are you using? My travel agent got a similar rate but it did not include airfare.

Welcome to the thread!!!! I love it too! You will get a lot of helpful information on this thread. I wanted to let all of you know about a site that I found over the weekend. It is a site that will host a wedding website for you for free!!! It also has templates to help you set is all up. I think it is a great way to keep everyone informed up until the day of the wedding. You can even have an RSVP section which I have not set up yet but if your having a shower or bach party u can use it to track who is coming and send out invites.

The templates are fine. If you are a huge techie than you may find them a bit boring but I think that is serves the purpose!!!

The address is FREE Wedding Websites | MomentVille

Andrew and I's site is Our Wedding Website | Welcome | JenDandAndrewP

check it out!!

Chelymo, those rates are great! Is that for the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach property? I am assuming so, but if it is for the Suites that would be even better! :) Most of my guests will be coming from S FL in mid-April too so I would expect them to get good airfare deals. One TA actually quoted me $510 for the flight only from Ft. Lauderdale to Montego Bay...ridiculous, LOL. What travel agency are you using?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
