I was trying to combine some of the hors d'ouevres from Intl 1 and Intl 2 list and she told me I couldn'thuh.gif? Gonna push definitely.
I think that's it for now. We are staying at MP Tues-Sun and checking in Sun Palace away from our enormous party Sun-Tuesday.
Our WC said we could switch out up to 2 or 3 things. I have also seen in reviews that this could be done. We never know when rules change but I just sent in my list earlier this week and nothing has been said that things have changed.

As for switcheroos - I really feel like it depends on your WC is what I'm beginning to think. I'm also having an issue with my WC telling me I can't have long tables at my reception unless she applies with her supervisor for an exception
I am nervous and anxious but I know as soon as I get on the plane, it will all be good! I am going to hand it over to the WC and not give it another thought..... at least that is what my goal is.

Nina and all!! I finally figured somethig out. My coordinator doesn't respond to email very good at all but when she calls, everything gets resolved. I really think there is a language barrier. I think my WC speaks very good but has a problem with emailing. just my thoughts..... but it is interesting the difference.

Thanks for answering my questions! We switched to the 3pm time slot and got our contract yesterday. We also switched to the complimentary wedding package and are going to just add things on. We're faxing it back this afternoon to make it official!

Is anyone else having a Catholic ceremony? We were told that it's a symbolic ceremony and not a legally binding marriage.

Shinbinea- our contact is still with the TA too, but I have a copy of it, my TA wanted me to look at it and make sure it looked right before she signed it. I mean, who's getting married? She's definitely not! I really think you need to get a copy of the agreement. I have a very cut and dry personality when it comes to paperwork, contracts and any service I am paying $ for. You ALWAYS get it in writing. I have been burned way too many times. I really say this for your protection. The travel agent isn't going to look out for your well being, so you need to.

CANCUN09- It was me who said I changed the items from the menu, take a look back a few pages, I posted what i am having and the hors d'oeuvres come from like 4 different menus. I am sorry, I am spending a lot of money so I feel they can break out of the mold a little bit. There is only one kitchen @ MP so it's not that much of a pain to accommodate the request.

What Excellence are you staying at? I am seriously thinking of staying at the Excellence Playa Mujeres after the wedding. I wish I could get married there but adults only is out of the question. I am really interested in reading your review of that too if you will share.

Receipts? For EVERYTHING? Why is this? So the Moon Palace can seehow mch we spent on them? huh02.gif

Tina and Honey- you Both must be SOOO excited!!! We're down to about a month now and already I feel like I'm running out of time!!!

(Tina- my wedding date is 8-8-09, dunno why it's not showwing up on my sidebar- have to fix that.)

About the rooms thing- so I e-mailed Janina (my original contact in Miami for all things "wedding") and CC'd Judy (my Membership contact in Miami) about the whole issue, and just heard back from Janina that she was forwarding my e-mail to someone who specifically handles Weddings for Members. Well, why the heck wasn't I talking to this person to begin with, thenhuh.gif
<sigh>, whatev.

I admit I was worried about running into other wedding parties as well- especially after hearing that there are 7 ceremonies taking place on my date, and ony 2 are in gazebos, the rest are on the beach set-up (where mine is, too!). Eeek!

Was it, swizmp- Why did you want to switch to the 3:00? I TOTALLY have been kicking myself for not booking earlier and getting a 6:00 like yours, I would kill for that time! But by the time we booked, 3:00 was the latest time slot in the day. : /
Que sera.

We asked to switch to the 3pm time slot because we were worried about not having enough time to take pictures before the sunset. After reading some other posts about April that was a concern for a couple people and they had to take pictures before the ceremony. I really like the idea of my Fiancee not seeing me in my dress until I'm walking down the aisle!

pyxystyx- LOL no it's for customs. they don't want you bringing in stuff for re-sale which it could look like if you are making 20+bags. You can make your own receipts: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...CT101423521033

it's easy did all mine last night. Just make sure they don't total more than $300/per person and don't register as a family, register as you and then your fiance so you both can take some of the items a receipts and get them counted separately.

Hey Lizlett! We're going to the Rivera Cancun one - we didn't want to go far! I would have loved to get married at an adults only resort too, but it was out of the question for us as well!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
