We were under the impression DW were way more hassle free than a locally planned one. We're pretty laid-back people, so maybe the relatively last minute decision to do a DW has contributed to some of our dilemmas (I've seeing some girls planning for over a year on here - that is some impressive organizational skills).

Fingers crossed it all works out in the end.

Here's a cheer to all the 2010 brides!

Joss, thats what I thought at first too. I think its still stressful and it is work - but the little things you realize you do not need to do. Like taste test 4 caterers. NOPE. Or try 8 different types of cakes. NOPE. You just pick what you want and cross your fingers! But you are still going to have to do the work on invites and RSVPs, answering questions, picking out favors and color schemes, and all of that stuff. I just think its easier b/c you have less choices. Being my Libra-indecisive self, thats what I need - less choices!

Good luck!

Yep, as a fellow libra I can totally relate! I can't make a decision about a dress, or about the design of our invitations, or about whether to have a dj or not. Ugg. At least I have the boy & the place!

hiiii!!!

Gosh so its been a somewhat stressful 4 months trying to find the perfect location and resort. i started off in Cozumel, then playa del carmen, then Dreams tulum where I actually confirmed my Date for Feb 19th 2010. Then this week my FI gets rates from the travel agent - the cheapest room is $175 per person per night! To me thats ridiculous. So i totally started freaking out and decided to look on bookit.com for deals during my date. Found an amazing deal for 8 nights from LA for $1100 per person ALL INCLUSIVE. The hotel is Privilege Aluxes, a four star hotel, it just opened in March. I checked out the reviews on trip advisor and they were all very positive.

Anyway so for those of you who are still looking i highly recommend you check it out.

So after all this i'm finally booked for Feb 20th whoot whoot!!

Unfortnately i'm super late - i haven't sent out my STD's yet. sad.gif Any ideas for digital ones that i could send in an email?

Hi everyone!! Congratulations to all of the 2010 brides.

My fiance and I are getting married 5/15/10. I've had my rates for some time now. I also was able to book my resort really early for the wedding. We have since then changed our resort from Dreams Tulum to Dream Riviera Cancun. I just updated my wedding website today with all of the prices and packages. If any one is getting married at Dreams Tulum or Riviera Cancun let me know and i will send you the prices I got.

OOooh me me me, Im a 2010 Dreams Tulum bride, booked in 2008 and in typical "Dreams" style I still dont have 2010 prices! Can I please have a copy of yours?

Who did you speak to and how did you get them, most of the posts i've read the girls are in the same limbo as me with ZERO info coming their way.

Your help would be awesome. smile03.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
