Does anyone watch TrueBlood?

Oh that makes sense about Lafayette! That part was not in the book so I was a tad lost. I had a hard time separating the two I guess.

As for the chick, I think her character is briefly in the book too. I won't give it away, but things should get interesting!

and I was a little surprised to see Sookie's boobies last night. Did she show them last season?

was it me or did Lafayette look different. For a while I wondered if it was a new actor, but then I am wondering if it was his beard or the dark place he is being kept. Anyone else notice a difference.

Lafayette did look a bit different but I think it was the beard and darkness.. it's definitely the same actor.

We did see Sookie's boobies twice last season (at least)! I was surprised the first time they came out cause I wasn't sure she would do that.. but I guess she did!!

Lafayette look like he put on a little weight. The more I think about the opener, the more I wonder about that whole situation with Jason and the church. I think Lafayette is going to let the vamps know that it's Jason who had something to do with the killing of that other vampire and then they will go after him and that Church of Light or whatever will help him fight the vamps and there will be some type of vamp/human war/riot/conflict.

is anyone else a little bummed that Jason is now a member of that crazy church? no more crazy Jason and he is friggin hot!

Michelle- they are dating in real life but I thought they were last year too and he looked uglier then- IMO. I don't think vampire Bill is too attractive (at least as a vampire.) They did improve his overall look though. Maybe it's the short hair and less disgusting white skin? His eyes still are bloodshot though. Not sure what that's all about...

Thanks for clarifying on Sookie's boobs. I guess I forgot about them. I was shocked last night with that scene. I dunno- I guess I thought she was a more well known actress so I didn't expect to see them.

Season 2 is not following the book so far. I have read a few spoilers (I just can't get enough!) and later in the season it will kind of join back up with the book's plot line.

I am really excited about Eric. I've become a bigger fan because of the books. Both he and Bill look better this season. I'm going with the bigger budget theory, too. I like Bill's short hair.

I think that all of those people in the dungeon are being held for crimes against vampires. Eric is the Sheriff so he would be the enforcer. Lafayette does die a little later in book two but I think he was such a fan favorite that they wanted to keep him around.

The book does kind of tell you about Maryanne's character and identity. I wonder where the story will go and if it will end this season.

I just found this thread, I love TrueBlood. Ok, am I the only one who thinks that Bill is ultra sexy?? I liked the pale look. It kinda reminded me of the whole goth thing with a lot of added sex appeal. I too am really curious about Marianne... I thought that maybe the pic that she had of the ancient greek goddess was supposed to foreshadow a clue as to who or what she is?? I have not read the books yet, but I am going to read 1 before I go and take 2 and 3 with me when I go to Jamaica. Something else to look forward to!!
