Can someone tell me the difference b/w the AZUL hotels and the best one for weddings?
Thanks

All I can say is that the Sensatori is a bigger reosrt and the Azul Beach is smaller with 98 rooms and kids are allowed. I wanted more intimacy and only one wedding a day so I chose the Azul Beach. If you want more options, the Sensatori is a better pick. I think Beach has 3 restaurants.

I haven't been to any of them but found Tripadvisor.com VERY helpful. Just dont get caught up on the bad reviews.

Hi All - I'm back from the wedding and honeymoon in Mexico! So sad to be back, I'm jealous of all of you who are on your way! I posted my LONG review and a few pics. Once I have all of my pics I'll share the link as well. Feel free to ask any questions, I know how stressful the planning part can be! All I can say is don't worry - everything will be wonderful! Thank you all SO much for your help thru the planning and chaos, I don't think I would have made it without this forum!!!

I am planning on a couple of excursions with our guests. One to Playa del Carmen for some shopping - I have been there before and I liked it better than the cancun markets. Another one to Xcaret -an ecological water park Xcaret - Cancun most amazing eco park. I have never been to this park, but it sounds really neat, a dolphin swim, shark swim, cave rivers you can swim etc.
I have been to the other ecological water park Xel-Ha XelHa | Natural Wonder - Home and it was great, they had a dolphin swim, great snorkeling and some nice trails for a little hike.
We also are going to do a day trip to Chitzen Itza, but it does take the WHOLE day. The ruins of Tulum are just south of Azul Sensatori so are nice for a shorter excursion, and they are on a cliff overlooking the water -really stunning.

Hope some of those ideas help! Happy planning!

What's everyone doing about site selections?

We're going to be around 75 people and are torn on what locations to choose for our cocktail party and our reception. I'm not crazy about having anything on the beach (sand in shoes, wind), but all the other sites look cramped. We currently have Zocolla Al Fresco reserved for the cocktail party and the Zavas Plaza for the reception, but I'm wondering if there are any better options. What are you all doing?

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
