This guy sounds terrible! I contacted him when I was searching for a photographer and had a weird feeling about the wording in his email so I never responded. Good thing for me I guess. I am waiting for the photos from the photographer that I used, Martha Roque, but I must say, she was a total sweetheart!

i have had many vendors threaten legal action against me and the forum for reviews made by other people but luckily the forum is protected by law from these types of lawsuits.
Oh yes I knew that, I did not mean to suggest you were going to take it down. I meant if ever the bride gets harassed by the vendor to the point where she asks for it to be taken down as has happened with several other negative reviews in the past (hope it doesn't come to that). In that case it would be good to have a copy of the review saved to pass it on to other brides.

I would not had hired a videographer if I wasn't wanting to use my lost deposit. I am so happy I did. I love having a video.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! This was another thing I was worried about in posting a negative review...
But Morgan's idea sounds wonderful! It may have not been in your original plans to get a videographer, but honestly, I think you're better off swinging that kind of deal, where your deposit goes to a videographer, than having him be your photographer.
Had I known how bad it would actually be, I would have given up the $1000 or so we'd already paid in deposits!

This is REALLY good to know! I worry every time I open my home e-mail account now that I'll have a nasty e-mail from him or his company... hasn't happened (yet) though :)

Awwww... thank you blush2.gif

Seriously... you have all made me feel much better... I think just writing it all down made me feel better too :-)

Wow... Thanks for the review; I do sympathize you. One of the most important days of your life ruined by a photographer. Its a good thing your guests were taking photos as well, so at least you can still get some photos from them.

Oh my Gosh, I'm so sorry for your experience!! The last thing you need on your wedding day is someone like that to stress you out on YOUR day! Thank you so much for posting this review, in doing so you have probably saved many many brides from having to go through what you had to go through!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
