I'm getting married Nov.21st at Villas Sur Mer in Negril, Jamaica. So far we've ...
  • put a deposit down on the wedding & reception venue
  • chose the menu
  • chose the cake
  • booked the wedding photographer
  • decided on center pieces
  • decided on color & theme
  • decided on the wedding party (2 BM & 2 GM)
  • bought my wedding gown - OTR monique lhuiller for $900 barely tried on!
  • chose groom's & GM outfits
  • bought 1 BM dress
  • chose groom's wedding band

38 ppl booked at the wedding venue so far.

I passed on the STDs since we sent out an email blast in January informing most of our loved ones of our decision to have a destination wedding & of the date we chose. I bought my invitation paper & am waiting for it to arrive this week so I can print & send them out asap.

I feel like i'm super behind with these tho eek.gif

Glad you ladies are here! Happy Planning to everyone smile159.gif

Alright girls - I just mailed off my invites at lunch! so exciting :)

I was bummed though - I asked the guy if he could hand cancel them and he acted like I was nuts - he said they HAD to go through the machine which I know isn't true...now my pretty calligraphy is going to have an ugly red barcode and lines!...okay there is my bridezilla moment of the day.

I keep looking at all the inspiration pictures people have posted or the way colors have been used and then my brain sort of overloads and I kind of shuffle that task down to the bottom of the list.

I think I'm leaning toward a martini olive green and a blue, slightly darker than periwinkle. But, who knows lol.

We'll figure it out eventually though!

Oh man! That is not bridezilla - that is understandable!

I don't know ab you ladies but I think the time is creeping up on us....

I want a date twin :-( Well actually I have a date and wc twin on the CC forum lol, I so not happy ab that.

I just made my lil sister my moh. At first I ddn't have one (I had 2 bms and one jr bm) bc i wanted one of my friends to be it but she lives in philly and isn't really taking initiative to come home and go gown shopping, or do anything else related to my wedding. But I'm not angry ab it. She's working 3 jobs to help pay to go to the wedding (as well as other things) so I'm not faulting her at all. I made it my sister my MOH and now everyone can wear diff gowns. Plus my sis is really helping me out (surprisingly). Don't think i was discounting my lil sis it's just that she just had a baby in Jan and she is in college full time so I didn't expect her to have time to be really involved but we're like bbf and she's really taking alotta initiative so she clearly deserves the title.

Sorry for rambling...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
