Calling all *Curvacious* women!!

~*Lisa*~

Recommended Posts

I have finally accepted that for some things online shopping is best. I with everyone on the no mu-mu's, oversized flowers, or kitties. I love my cat, but please!

My favorite online locations (catalogs in my house regularly) are Jessica London, Avenue, and Roamans.

My MOH and BM are also plus sized. I called them one day after seeing a really cute but flattering summer dress in the Jessica London catalog. They loved it too and have purchased them as their dresses for the wedding. Fun, simple, and they will wear them again!

As for my, my size 22 dress is from David's.

Nothing stops us right?

I'm a 2XL and I love shopping at Ricki's!! For tops anyway. Their pants go up to 18 but I'm a 22 so no luck for me sad.gif

Ricki's have awesome tops. I love them for summer, and for business because they are dressier. Like you lisaloo, I refuse to wear cotton tops with pics of flowers or kitties on them YUCK!! Who do they think we are?!?!?!

If you're looking for awesome tops, go to Ricki's. They go great with a pair of dress pants, or with jeans!
I didn't realize that Ricki's had XXL! I'll have to check it out. Thanks!!

To answer your question, I have not done a BD shoot. I actually didn't realize that it existed (lol) until I joined this site. It's not in the plans to do one, only because of money issue. Otherwise I would LOVE to do one! I'm not afraid of showing off the curves!!

Anyone else thinking of it or have done a shoot?

I am planning on doing one with Tammy B in late July/early August. I'm working out like crazy for it. I used to work at Victoria's Secret and have a ton of stuff from there with the tags on. If I lose about 20 more lbs. by then, it should fit!

I told my mom about it and she LOVED the idea. She's paying for it otherwise I wouldn't be doing it either.

I'm not doing any 100% nude. I'll be clothed. I'm not comfortable with that!

I'd like to to do a BD shoot. I'm planning on doing it for our 1st anniversary. I've seen some gorgeous photos of plus sized women. If I can find them online I will post some links.

Yea, part of me WANTS to do a BD shoot. The other part says that I'm going to spend the entire time worried about my stretch marks. lmao

I think it could be beautiful...but I'm just not there mentally yet and its soooo not in the already over stretched budget. I have been really good lately about making good decisions in order to allow this wedding to come off the way I dreamed it would. So part of that is knowing what can be sacrificed and what can't. It's hard for me, because I tend to be impulsive when it comes to things I'm interested in, but nope. No BD shoot.

I have no problems with doing a BD shoot. He'd love the gift! But, when I started doing research on photographers in the Bay Area, I was shocked at how much it costs! It's just not in the ole wedding budget right now. Maybe I'll hold off and get it as a 1st anniversary gift instead.

LIW, thanks for the link! It will give some ideas of what I'd want in the BD pictures. She's great. Wish I lived up in Canada! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
