don't fret, girls ... there are beautiful dresses out there for us. just be real about what styles look best on your shape (i would have loved something slinky, mermaid, or especially trumpet, but those just don't work with my hips)!

Is it un-pc to say that I think that women with curves do better justice to form fitting gowns? *ducks head as the skinnies come swinging*

I haven't had time to read through all the posts yet.

 

I'm a 2XL and I love shopping at Ricki's!! For tops anyway. Their pants go up to 18 but I'm a 22 so no luck for me sad.gif

 

Ricki's have awesome tops. I love them for summer, and for business because they are dressier. Like you lisaloo, I refuse to wear cotton tops with pics of flowers or kitties on them YUCK!! Who do they think we are?!?!?!

 

If you're looking for awesome tops, go to Ricki's. They go great with a pair of dress pants, or with jeans!

Your dress is stunning! You look fabulous! For us curvacious girls, I recommend checking out the Allure plus size line. They have some very beautiful dresses!

You're frum Sudbury? My FH is also from Sudbury! There seems to be a few ladies from Sudbury on this site. My FH also has Sudbury radar. He can be in a room with 1000 people and he'll manage to find the only person from Sudbury in the room, lol!

My fiance says he should have lived in Canada during his "swingin' single" time before me! I talked to him about some of the plight you all have of not finding plus size clothing or international mailing issues. (He likes plump girls.) wink.gif

 

Have any of you done a Boudoir shoot?

Haha, we Jersey folk tend to do that, seek out the other Jersians... oh, and PS... those shows they have about the Jersey Shore and NJ housewives? VERY small percentage of people here. It is difficult to find nice plus size clothing. I have a big butt/thighs badunka dunk, and my chest is big, but my top is smaller. I can typically fit in to regular sized tops, but my boobs are ginormous... but the way I look at it, I am blessed to have a body! I am going to love my body because it is the only one I've got! Embrace the curves!!! And dress them up cute when you can find nice outfits!!!smile03.gif

It is more difficult to find clothes that aren't 'frumpy' looking (for me, especially pants). Thanks for all the ideas for stores, I'll have to take a trip across the border soon to do some shopping! I'll need some cute outfits for showers, our buck & doe, and for my week in Cuba! :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
