I went to a DW where flip flops were given and yes most everyone used them. It becomes a lil tedious because of the sizing situation, but what she did was ask us the sizes on the RSVP's. I personally plan on doing flip flops.

Well I am not a bride yet however my friend did this at her wedding in San Diego last year....people went nuts over the flip flops...do note these were Haviana flip flops though (aka expensive flip flops)....I don't think people would have had the same reaction over cheaper flip flops though...and seeing I can't afford Havianas for 80 guests, I don't think I'll do this...but I definitely would be interested in seeing what girls who have done this thought of your average flip flop favors

Hey Ladies, this is something that I tossed up as an idea aswell. I opted out of it, as I found a few alternative ideas. However, if it's something you're considering-- take a look at partyflops.com. They were mentioned on a few other threads, and look really fun!

I don't really care about price, etc. That was never really the issue. I steered away cause I wasn't really sure if it was worth it. I LOVE flip flops I were the at least 9 months out of the year and live in MT (they shovel the sidewalks in winter so why not!) But I think the idea is cute but I know Sarah came home w/ tons left over. I don't know if it was cause she bought too many or if no one took them. Depending on this pole will really help!

Great post Jac! I can't wait to see what people vote.

Personally, we decided to not do flip flops (or t-shirts) mainly because of the sizes. But also, I am counting on most people bringing and/or wearing flip flops to the wedding/reception and have stated the dress code on our wed-site.

On the flip side, I went to a really formal wedding in Houston and the bride put out the bucket of flip flops and they were a total hit. It helped that everyone was in killer heels so flip flops made dancing way more fun.

I am doing flip flops for all the female guests and we have decided to put them in the OOT bags as well VS. a wedding basket/bucket of flip flops. I bought all of mine at Old Navy in pink and orange...my wedding colors! I only bought enough for the people who are coming with us and asked for their sizes in a mass email. I agree with Megan...I think that the girls will absolutely wear them around the pool! If my guests are anything like me...I NEVER have enough pair of flip flops! I think I own every color that Old Navy has...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
