Thanks, yes it does all finally feel "official" now!! cheesy.gif I've been told that several places probably would have accepted my Mexican marriage certificate without the apostille but I didn't want to risk it. I will be starting to change everything over asap, can't wait!!

Delmarbride- Thanks so much Our pics are from the gazebo on the Del Mar/Beach side.

Gail- A few of our guests stayed on the Lindo/Maya side and we visited them. I thought the Maya rooms were nicer. I liked the decor better and they were bigger.

Hi all! I'm so frustrated, my TA is giving me the runaround, saying that the resorts are going to reopen on the 1st, but maybe not, so no upgrade. This makes me so upset as we are less than a month away and I can't get a clear answer. Anyone have any news yet?

Thanks!

Katie

Gail!

I'm so sorry to hear all this nonsense! You must be going crazy! From what the other girls have said, it sounds like it will all work out once you're down there. I know it sucks not being able to jsut run down the road and check on everything, it's hard putting faith in others so far away! And because of renovations ... yikes ... you're right, that's even worse! Seeing as thought that's their choice, sounds like it is under their control and you should definitely look into some sort of compensation! If it was nature realted due to the flu outbreak, then yes, they really can't be held accountable, but this IS under their control.

As for restaurants, since we haven't been down there yet, the overall two favorites seem to be the Italian and Steakhouse. Those are the two we're using for our wedding and rehearsal, respectively. Steakhouse is said to be delicious, but from pics, I can't stand the large longhorn lights hanging above!

I hope you get some answers and all goes well. Just try to relax, though I know it must be so difficult, as best you can. Everything will work out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
